Hi Emma Nice video. Your British Blues collection is now quite substantial. I have the Big Bill Broonzy LP it was part of my Dad's collection that came to me when he died. He saw Big Bill live in the late 1950's in the UK. I still have the programme. Chris Barber has recently passed, though a jazzer he had a big impact on British Blues, bringing over musicians like Big Bill and Muddy to the UK. Raw Sienna divided fans on release, some saw it as a move away from guitar based blues to a more diverse and arranged sound. Chris Youlden left after that album and Savoy Brown did go back to guitar based blues. But whatever it is a great LP. The Magic Sam is a classic and the Delmark label is usually a sign of quality. One question I would have added is best slide guitar player, mine would be Blind Willie Johnson. But for a music that is mainly based on three chords there are many more questions that could have been posed. Gary

Aloha Emma Great selection of entries to Chris's Blues Vinyl tag 2021. I had or still might have that Albert King & Stevie Ray Vaughn on DVD somewhere, but not the record album, I'll see if it's still available on Vinyl. Again as always, I enjoy watching 👀 your videos their very informative & exciting to watch. Looking forward to seeing your next video. Mahalo ed.

Catching up, Emma. I started to watch this the day you posted and then I got pulled away. I really want to participate in this tag, but I really don’t have enough to answer all the questions. Loved seeing some of these albums. Those Howlin Wolf London Sessions are the best. HA! I was wondering how you were going to answer that British Blues question. Hilarious! Uh! I need that Freddy King record. Regret not getting it on RSD. That Super Super Blues Band comp looks too good to be true. There are so many classics that I still need to get on vinyl. Folk Singer, Death Letter, Moanin in the Moonlight, on and on. Awesome stuff, Emma. I knew you’d put together a great response. Hope you’ve had a great week. ✌🏻

Hi Emma. Good video. Great artists too. You covered the list well all the way through. All worth getting for myself. Got to check in on them. I always did like Savoy Brown Raw Sienna. Use to have. I have few Savoy Browns left right now. A Step Further, Looking In. Savoy Brown Compilation 2 cd of stuff. A Chris Youlden single collection vinyl of some songs also vinyl. I saw Kim Simmonds and Savoy Brown some years back in club. Phenomenal!!! Also seen John Mayall back in 75 open for Robin Trower. And Buddy Guy in town who did a free show on the plaza here in town years ago. Can't go wrong with great blues. Stay well and Cheers🎸🎤🎶💖

Thank you so much! Very cool that you saw Savoy Brown, Mayall, Trower, Buddy Guy ... etc. The only person I've seen/met from that list is Mayall. I was supposed to see Buddy Guy last summer but then of course COVID hit. I'm hoping that I still have the opportunity to catch him. Fingers crossed. Thanks for watching & take care!

@@EightVinylLow Wow! That is so neat! Saw and (met) John Mayall when he was alive. When I saw Kim Simmonds and Savoy Brown I met him after the show and we spoke about his latest live releases he had out and he signed my ticket stub. He is such a great guy and guitarist and sang well still after all these years. Another person you may like and know that sang and played guitar that could signify blues in the rock band he was in was the late Leslie West of Mountain. When I saw him in 77 small theater here in town with The Leslie West Band he had I met him after the show. Such a sweet guy he was. Told him what a good set performance he did. Was cool to shake his hand. Can you believe not alot of people saw that show and a ticket was only $5!!! Take care Emma!🎤🎸🎶🥁💖👍

I was waiting for yours. Great collection! Obviously you would have a great blues tag entry. Sadly I don’t have any Little Walter nor do have any Buddy Guy solo stuff. I need to remedy that issue. Also, I’ve not heard that much Freddy King. So I’ll have to take listen and see what I like from him. I would assume the Freddy King you showed would be your recommended album of his?

Thanks for watching! If you can find a copy of "Getting Ready" then I totally recommend grabbing that one. This compilation that I have is from RSD and is more of a rarities/oddities comp, but still absolutely fantastic. Really anything from him - you can't go wrong.

Good stuff! We matched on the BB King but I've never seen a Pickwick reissue before. I knew Iggy Pop started out as a drummer from his documentary but didn't think any recorded evidence existed - must investigate. Out Of Uranus is a great album. "Stumble" by Freddy King is one of my favorite songs. Cheers from the West Coast!

Hi Emma. OK. I'm strapped in, ready to check out some great blues! Outstanding start with the tremendous duo of SRV and Albert King! Lovely Big Bill LP. I've never seen that before... gonna have to source that one out. Live BB! Can't really go wrong with that one... love it. I think I saw Vinyl Richie show that Prime Movers album. Very cool, Emma. I don't have any Savoy Brown but quite a few people have recommended them to me. Nice copy of that. Glad you showed that newer Mayall album... looks beautiful. T-Bone Walker is essential in any blues collection. Clapton Unplugged is an instant classic. Wolf on Chess, Magic Sam on Delmark and Buddy on Alligator... all top notch albums... very nice. Joanna Connor is a new name to me so I will look her up. Chicago represent! Folk Festival of the Blues is another top album. Killer Killing Floor album. Awesome cover art on that. A friend of mine in England used to be their roadie... oh the stories. Great choice. LOL! Best British Blues album showing, EVER! Fantastic! Freddy is getting a lot of love on this tag. Top 3 blues stank face guy. Fantastic copy of Super Super Blues! I love Muddy Waters Folk Singer. I agree: feels like you are in the same room as Muddy, Buddy and Willie. Mind-blowing that you found Little Walter for a buck! Well done! Amazing find. BB King is a likely gateway into blues for many... me included. Outstanding response, Emma. (as I knew it would be) You have a superb collection and I loved your picks for this. Thanks again for getting on board... much appreciated. Take care. Cheers.
