I have a similar story but completely opposite. I started high school, and got all my new friends obsessed with Starkid, and now I just randomly reference it and they reply with the next line. E.g. they go “I WANNA BE A MODERN DANCER!” mid maths and I’ll go “WHAT A REALLY WIERD THING TO SAY THAT CAME OUT OF NOWHERE!” and that’s our friendship summed up in a comment

There should not be a feud between Gleeks and Starkids. I loathe Glee with a venomous passion, but I don't let that get in the way of my love for AVPM/S. I accept that a lot of people like Glee. If I want to hate on Glee, I'll do it with my Glee-hating friends, not amongst half its fanbase. Harry Potter, the books, movies, AVPM/S (and MCR, but that's a separate thing) made me feel like I am Not Alone. Please, please don't ruin that by fighting about a show that is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT.
