I’ve been watching your channel since it began last year! You’ve convinced me to buy 5 nail polishes that you’ve swatched (from seperate collections and brands) Just wanted to say thank you for these videos, I’ve loved nail polish since I was in middle school and i always get excited when I get a notification that you posted a new video! My favorite swatch videos are the Essie ones because I’ve been a huge fan of them for years! My first nail polish that I actually purchased myself was a gross blue metallic by Essie and it was called blue rhapsody 😂 Just wanted to say Happy Holidays and I can’t wait for future swatches 💖💖

Some things to keep in mind with gel, from someone who used it exclusively for years: Freeze cure (10 secs) each nail to prevent cuticle flooding. Try your best to not get gel on your skin, and if you do, wipe if off, towards the free edge of your nail as quickly as possible. No matter what any gel company ever tells you, gel is a toxic substance if not used properly, and you can develop an allergy VERY easily. If you can, wear a nitrile gloves on the hand you're using to paint your other hand. And wipe down your table and anything you may have touched while doing your nails when you're done. I'm not saying don't use gel, just be careful!

I haven't tried gel polishes but that is a really nice starter kit and I like the shades. All the shades look so smooth and pretty on your nails. Great video and TFS!

I do 99% regular polish, but I do have about 5 UV light cured gel shades in basic colors that I use for travel, or if I have a very busy period of time coming up when I know I can't do my nails for a week. You can't beat the super shine of gels, nor the longevity. I don't use them frequently because there are definitely a lot of steps and little tricks in application and curing; also, the removal takes a lot of effort and time.

I hate the removal! But I use a nail steamer and that makes it easier!

I change my polish too often to make good use of gel, although when I was working and busy I used it. Regardless, they make good basis for regular polish. When you remove the regular, you still have a decent mani. TFS 😻 Britt

Yes! I like builder gel because of this. But I don’t regularly use it.

I haven't used gel but I've always been curious. The kit has great starter colours. Do you remove it with acetone?

Yes you do! You have to let them soak off.

How was removal? Beetles gel requires a jack hammer to get off my nails (and yes nails looked like I had used one too) 😑
