Not a complete mod though. He did not replace the microphone which was hanging out before. It would have been a complete and nice modification If he had put the microphone back inside the chamber just to keep everything as it was before. I understand it might not be too much for many people

Se vería muy bien esta modificación, lo regular es que cuando se le vaya a terminar la batería lo tienes que extraer de la casetera para recargarlo.

The power-on button is on the cable, so to be able to use it in traditional tape decks, the cable has to go. These are mainly designed for old car tape/radio players, where the edge of the cassette sticks out of the cassette slot. The LED was already there, he just moves it so that it will light up the tape deck better when in use. He fixes the noise by lubing up the gears.
