I have a Samsung model LN32A330J1NXZA but there is no headphone jack connection so I assume I will only be able to use a bluetooth headphone set with this model tv correct? It is an Oct 2008 model so I assume Samsung designed these tv's to be only used with wireless headphones? I do see an optical digital audio output connection on the back as well as RCA audio outputs (R and L).

Not sure what the first part of your comment meant, but yes your TV will work with a Headphone + Adapter set like the one shown in the video... both the optical and the RCA jacks should work :)

why don't you use optical from TV to 5009, and optical from 5009 to sound bar? The bypass function allows your sound bar and the headphones to work at the same time.

This depends on the TV itself, some TVs allow it some don't... only way to be sure is to try it... however, we did find that if you use the optical digital port on your TV as audio output to this device, it's more likely to have that feature you're talking about

I am really having a tough time getting my Bluetooth head phones to work on my 65" RU7300 Curved Smart 4K UHD TV Series 7. I only have an optical output that I can find. It seems to work fine with my Bose sound system connection but after I used a signal splitter for the optical output the Bose works fine but I get no output into my Bluetooth head phones. Even tried converter of optical output to RCA and same problem. Help please! Mike

When you use the optical splitter, you'll want to go into your TV's audio settings - expert settings - change the digital output format to PCM.

You should be able to control the volume either by using your TV remote, or by utilizing the volume up and down buttons on either the headphones or the transmitter.
