Do you know if this pedal, or iPads in general has the capability to switch between open apps? Sheet music on one and switch to monitor mixer controlled by iPad? I've been researching but not having any luck. Our worship band uses iPads for sheet music and will transition to using their iPad for their monitor mix as well. Would be nice to seamlessly flip between apps. Thanks.

Is the AirTurn quad 200 more than just a page turner? I want to use it with the PlayBack iOS app by Multitracks if possible?

Hmmm... I am thinking of finally getting away from paper and this pedal looks intriguing. But I use MS Word and convert to pdf for chord charts at 14 pt font. This works best for old school (emphasis on "old") myopic me. So, 1) Can I forgo the apps and just upload my own .docx or pdf files? and 2) would I be able to get by with the 10" ipad Air screen or do I need to go to the pro for nearly twice the $$? Oh and BTW, I'm thinking of getting a Midas MR18 digital mixer, so once again, the ipad would be an all-in-one solution for mix setup and chord sheet scroll control.

Just wondering how loud the clicking sound actually is when pressing on the buttons. Is it distracting/noticeable when perhaps playing a quiet piece or classical/chamber music? Thanks!
@dickruel71753 жыл бұрын
Yes it is very loud in a quite environment, I find it difficult to use, locks up easily, and turns multiple pages. My son has a different brand and has the same issues, I will not use it on stage.

I just purchased the Stomp yesterday and now I am looking into a cheaper Ipad. Does it matter how many GB the Ipad needs to be? I am looking at an Ipad with 32gb and I would only use it for this.

Why is this better than the AirTurn BT200S-2, which is $60 cheaper? Thanks for the video!

Hi Jeff, Rob from Coda Music Technologies here. Great question! There are a number of features that STOMP has that AirTurn doesn't, including the ability to charge your tablet with your pedal and virtual keyboard activation (most AirTurn devices require leaning down and powering off the pedal to get your keyboard to activate). Besides those additional features the biggest difference is going to be build quality and reliability. STOMP is housed in a solid metal enclosure and 100% made in America, whereas AirTurn pedals are plastic. Additionally, we use a much higher quality bluetooth chip so the risk of dropout is much lower. Hope that helps :)

@@duhr3l thanks, Rob! That really clears things up. I'm looking forward to picking up a STOMP!

Hi Curtis, that feature is dependent on what app you're using, but both OnSong and Music Stand will allow that feature.

Wait wait wait. You have to take out four screws to replace the non-rechargeable battery?? Ummm...
@codamusictechnologies90145 жыл бұрын
Hi Wes, yes that can be a downside, however removing the backplate to access 9v battery is pretty standard in hand built guitar pedals. Luckily you rarely have to change the battery as a single 9v lasts up to 150 hours and the pedal can be powered off of a 9v power supply or even pedalboard power. Additionally there is a battery indicator so you never have to question whether you have enough juice left. I chose 9v battery over rechargeable lithium battery because in a live situation you can always get a 9v battery pretty easily whereas if you showed up to a gig or worship set and discovered your battery was low or dead with lithium...you're kind of out of luck.

Pretty standard for guitar pedals. Use a 9v power supply

Any free alternative to the apps mentioned in the video?
@codamusictechnologies90145 жыл бұрын
We actually just released a blog with the top 3 free apps available: www.codamusictech.com/blogs/news/the-best-free-sheet-music-apps Additionally we have a great resource of recommended apps here: www.codamusictech.com/pages/apps. Personally I would highly recommend spending a little bit of money for OnSong if you're on iOS and either MobileSheets Pro or Orphesus if you're on Android.

Would this work with controlling tracks in Playback?
@robertt54785 жыл бұрын
I actually spoke in length with Jake about this during a video chat, I use a Donner BT page turner, but it's basically the same exact concept as this Stomp, so I can only assume this functionality is the same.... I've tried using the pedal to control tracks within Neutron Music Player with less than effective results. The pedal IS recognized by the player, as stepping on it does perform a function, but I couldn't find a way to program which functions I wanted each pedal to perform... So, for example, when I would hit the right, "forward" pedal, it activated the button that opens the file list of tracks, and the left, "back" pedal seemed to be essentially acting as just touching the middle of the screen as it would just make the album art go in and out of fullscreen. According to Jake, this has to do with the ability of the pedal to be recognized as the proper MIDI signal(s) for the specific device and app. That being said, it seems that it is possible in theory, but some programming would definitely have to go into making it work. Also, just a side note, it only controls the forefront open page, so if you did get it to work properly with the audio app, it would not be able to change tracks with the app running in the background..... Again, it's possible that the Stomp model has fixes for these, but I'd say it's more than likely that you'd run into the same obstacles.
