You can ‘daisy chain’ the Eco Flow units. And, doesn’t need to be another expensive Unit as they sell a bare battery unit that looks similar but without the screen etc so costs less. Can add more by adding more to that battery!

Hi mell you say you are not a fan of the sockets on the top being up side down BUT there is one GOOD reason for this!!! If you have plugs in the bottom two sockets and you was to use the top two sockets and thay was the right way round the cord from the top plug would get in the way of the bottom plug so you could not use them? Try getting a plug and offer it up to the socket the right way round you will see the problem? Thnks for the vid mell ps where is your helper becks

This unit looks like it could be a game changer for an installation into a camper, my thoughts are why don't they consider having all the various sockets either on the side or at the rear or a combination of both and just the display at the front. My point is made because if it's going to a fitted installation there's going to be lots of wiring and plugs all fitted at the front and it's going to look messy. Yes the whole unit could be hidden but it's nice to be able to see the controls and display.
@jimrodda
@jimrodda 2 жыл бұрын
I think the reason for all the plugs and sockets at the front is so you can put the unit flat against a wall as long as the sides are kept clear for ventilation, all are easily accessible if if you want to look at the screen why not use the Bluetooth on your phone?

There are some good Mobile power banks on the market at the moment. Both Bluetti and Ecoflow both doing the same thing, so I'm just waiting for prices to drop because £2000 is quiet a price when I'm using my van for my only means of transport and being a carer the Fuel cost is so expensive and using it for social too. so I will wait to see in the winter months hopeful prices will come down . Good Product view though Mel , look forward to your update in a few months time 😃

Great review, lots to love about this model. Looking forward to your "install" and longer term follow up vids. The price though... yikes. lol. Break it down over 10 years though and comparing options I guess it's not too bad. Might even outlast the van it gets installed in but easy to move into a new build with it 🙂

Hi Mel I don’t know if you have seen my video on this unit but it is amazing bit of kit 👍 Re switching it on if you link the 12v charge lead into the unit and have that switchable inside your van when you switch the 12v on its switches the unit on so you can just use the app to operate all the functions and you can fit the unit out of the way in your van 👍 all the best mate Dave 😄

You must consider doing a follow up on this Mel, I've had a fair bit of negative feedback regarding the possibility of using something like this as opposed to a conventional electrical set up. One of the main issues has been charging other than solar and the automatic switching of charging from solar to DC to DC, the battery capacity is great what more do you need.

Hi, Mel great video, as usual. just to let you know you have NOW just joined the plug & play brigade. I've been running a Bluetti AC200P (in one van) & AC200 MAX (in another) for nearly a year now it's a great bit kit. As regards charging on the move that brick you had in your hand at the start of your video (D050S) that's what you use, plug one end into 240v and the other end into the cigarette holder and away you go. See Plug & Play. Have a good day Mate.😂😂

I like these portable Battery packs. A lot of coin though! The battery costs about £600 to buy. Add an inverter (if you need to) plug in the Solar and DC to DC charger and you have the same for a lot less, minus the portability of course. But if portability is your thing then it could be ok. It is a very thieve able bit of kit as well, but at least if you have security cameras you can watch people cadge off with it! Perhaps it could be insured on van insurance? Given the way the world is, and disintegrating rapidly, this could well be a good investment at home as well. But, I do think they are a ridiculous price.

The portable battery packs can be used independently from the AC200MAX. They each have a 12V 10 Amp port, a 100 watt Type C port, and a USB port (18 watts, IIRC). The battery packs can also be independently charged using the D050S charging accessory unit - either with solar or with the 12V 10AMP cigarette adapter.

With the cost of Gas and Elecy going through the roof, Would one of the Deisel heaters you use be ok for a small house ? I thought Bluette would have one coming out soon after Ecoflow announced their one that you can link multiple batteries to it, these will change to way people set up self builds and are great for addition power to top up on existing power into motor homes as you can’t really chop about the power internals of a motor home as easy
