Just ordered the 300k for the 200Max. I live on the Texas Gulf Coast where A/C is mandatory and I figure I can go 11 hours on a 5,000 BTU window A/C unit using the Max and 300k. I can deploy the solar panels and in theory go days without using my gasoline generator. I went through the blackout in February, 2021 in Texas as well as several hurricanes over the years so backup power is critical. I have an AC 180 as well and hoping a cable setup will come out for the 300k and AC 180.

It's fun to see what's inside and both Bluetti and EcoFlow well constructed and engineered. WaveformScience really knows his stuff and does some of the most in depth testing and the video you reference is definitely worth the watch. Glad to see you tear down a product:) With regards to the AC200L, i think the older AC200MAX is by far the superior product with the exception of AC charging / UPS. As i already have 3 of the D050B charge enhancers (one the AC200MAX and 1 each for the 2 B230 batteries), i can get 2300 watts of solar and being able to access all functions without the need of a cell phone is a big plus. Time for some fall camping!

In addition, the AC200MAX, with the D050S, can be charged from two separate PV sources. Can't do that with an AC200L. I have a 300W CIGS array on my truck's cap (which I use while driving) + PV200 solar panels that can charge my AC200MAX. With the DC-DC charger installed, I can keep the powerstation topped off while on the road.
@Ethan.s..5 ай бұрын
I share your opinion in the ac200max having some advantages. With a D050S charge enhancer I can charge my max at a peak 1421 watts via solar. The AC200L is nice, but not worth upgrading to in my non ups setup. The AC200P L with it’s extra 256wh is tempting though :D
@johntate52844 ай бұрын
@@Ethan.s.. I had forgotten about the AC200P L with the extra capacity. If they would put that on sale for $1099 like they have done with the AC200MAX, i would consider it too XD

I use all 6 PV inputs on my bank of 6 B300s. I've already maxed out the two AC500 PV inputs (1500W each) so this is the only way to add more solar panels, which I happened to have left over from other solar experiments. It's a great way to use any panels you have left over or found cheap on Craigslist; you just have to stay within the Voc range. The SOC won't directly recognize the extra inputs, but when you look at the individual battery management on the APP, you can "balance out" the battery charges. For instance, one battery was always last to reach 100% so I used my highest output panel on that battery, and the lowest output panel on another battery that was always first to reach 100%. Now they run neck and neck with each other. I was a bit disappointed with pricing, esp having to buy a new $108 cable for each B300K. It's really not worth the small savings in the tradeoff, IMHO. Maybe if they have a Christmas sale I'll take a 2nd look.

Nice video Jason, thanks. Question, is the capacity on this B300k the same as on the B300/S, but just with a more conservative rating? That 94% (iirc) efficiency is higher than we’re use to and you noticed it’s 3kwh capacity when peaking inside. For me with an AC200Max & 2 B300’s, I use the additional ports to maximize solar input. I could definitely live without them with an ac300 though.

On 16 Nov. '24, I ordered two B300K batteries. Afterwards I came across a youtube video that said when paired to the AC200Max, the 300K's would not be "woken up" by the Max when solar input came into the Max to charge it. As I'm sure you know, the Max will "wake up" automatically if it is off when solar input comes to it. So, is it correct then, that the Max will wake up everyday when the sun shines upon one's array, but the B300K batts will not begin charging unless they are turned on manually? TIA. Your videos are standard setting! Sorry, Jeff Hagen's video about the b300k confirms that the Max will not turn the b300k on around his 12 minute mark.

@@whcurl I guess having the battery upside down is the only option. The batteries felt pretty secure in the case. My only worry would be the breather valve is located on the top of the battery so maybe that will leak if it's mounted upside down. Might be best to reach out to Bluetti on this one.

Did I understand you correctly, you can connect 2x B300K to an AC200 Max? One B300K to each of the Max's two battery connection ports? Seems logical, I originally connected 2x B300 batteries to our Max. Just want confirmation from he who knows! I have 4x B300's connected to an AC300, but they will be three years old this December (2024). I'd like to expand storage for the Max and use it more often, but I believe running the same type and age of batteries in one system is considered a best practice. Yeah, I'm ignoring the Max's own internal battery which will be three years old end of this month, but I rarely use it. What say you? A new B300K, or two of them, with a three year old Max -- any downsides there? Thank you. You're exceptional, I always look forward to seeing your videos.

In Canada the B300k costs $1600 for less than that I could pick up a 51.2v 100Ah LiFePO4 with 5.12kWh total...I wish there were ways we could connect to just an external LiFePO4 without having to pay the premium for proprietary stuff
@andrewr055 ай бұрын
You can just take that battery and directly plug it into your PV input port on the models that accept up to 150 volts of DC input. Granted you would also have to buy an external charge controller if you want to charge it via solar, or you can just get a 48V AC charger and charge it that way.

Jason would you buy one of these over the B300 if money didn’t matter? So the B300 has 3072Wh and this less so besides price point what's the better option?
@Jasonoid5 ай бұрын
Price is kinda the main point of this battery. You get more battery capacity for your money. I guess if money didn't matter at ALL I'd choose the B300 since you get the additional charging port and slightly more battery. Having more capacity is the most important part of a backup system.
