Nice review. Thank you for that. I was a little concerned about the usefulness of such a low watt hour unit, but I grabbed one a few weeks ago anyway. I'm glad I did. I'm finding that when attached to solar, it serves really well as a gateway between solar power and the devices I'm using it to run. I'm finding that the battery size isn't really the issue I thought it might be. This is all testing from home so far, but I'm feeling good about it. Can't wait to take it out for a real workout.

I think it only allow turbo charging during bulk-charge phase (usually to around 80%), as the last 20% charge called absorption-charging when the current typically drops down, as to not over stress the charging battery. When I tested mine on turbo-charge it was around 40% and Idropped it back down to normal at about 65% due to overheating problem. The problem I encountered was the EB3A was outside when charging (about 88°F) and keep tripping the high-temp cut-off (in turbo & standard mode). Planning to buy a USB computer fan and velcro it over the air-intake side on warmer days or when in a warm rv/vehicle. Will rarely use the turbo mode but nice to know is there in case I wish to use an inverter (500+watts) in a vehicle to shorten the engine-run time, in part as lighter-port charging is so slow at 100W, and the engine has to be running to get that much out of it!
@PreppinontheCreek12
@PreppinontheCreek12 2 жыл бұрын
That’s kinda what I thought as well. When I was around 50% I had no problem turbo charging. I’ve not had any trouble with high temp cut off in standard mode. Don’t really use turbo, just did for the video. Nice insights, thanks for watching and commenting.

Thank You Thank You Thank You. This is the first review of the Bluetti that this old man could really understand and follow. I have two of these EB3A power stations and also bought two more for my two Daughters so I started to watch some videos on them and most of them talk way over my head and are using all these different gadgets to show what they can and can't do. I watched part of one video and the kid complained about it missing one of it's foot pads. I do have one question for you Sir concerning the UPS function. I have a Pellet stove which is plugged into an outlet but if the power goes out the remaining pellets keep burning and without the internal exhaust fan running all the smoke will come out into the room. Is it possible to keep the pellet stove running 24/7 through the UPS system so it would take over if and when the power goes out. I don't do Facebook so I have no connection to your Bluetti group. Thanks for your informative video and hope you enjoyed your Breakfast.
@PreppinontheCreek12
@PreppinontheCreek12 Жыл бұрын
As long as the pellet stove exhaust fan doesn’t pull more than 600 watts it will work. Just keep the EB3A plugged into your wall outlet and the pellet stove into the EB3A with the ac outlets turned on and it should work. Thank you for the nice comments and for watching.

@PreppinontheCreek12

It would run it on ups mode but not for long. The battery capacity is only 268wh. The ups mode on this power station would be good for wifi routers so you can keep your internet going. It’s a great little unit but to run 500 watts for an extended period of time I don’t think you would be happy. The good thing is it has a quick turnaround time on recharging it. If power went out it would keep your pc going and give you time to power down and save your work. Thanks for watching and for the nice comments. I hope my answer was helpful. Your toast looks more dried out than toasted... how much more power would be used to have it actually toast bread to look browned? How many watts does your space-ace toaster use (mine is standard style)? Thinking of getting an induction cooker for traveling/camping (without lugging propane and stove). The compressor will kick on and off. So even if it’s plugged up after the fridge is running that compressor will kick off and then when it kicks back on it will generate another surge. I hope that makes sense.

I didn’t try an Instant-pot. But with the induction hot plate I didn’t even use the power lift, I just ran at 230 degrees and it cooked great. Assuming the Bluetti EB3A will sit idle for months at a time for a SHTF moment (typical FPL blackout), is it okay to store it at 100% charge? Or does it have to be discharged to 50-60% for longterm (4-8 months) storage? 🧐
@PreppinontheCreek12
@PreppinontheCreek12 2 жыл бұрын
The user’s manual says to charge to 80% every 3-6 months for long term storage. So store it at 80% and check it every 3 months to see where it’s at and if it’s dropped a little charge it back to 80%. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Seen your other video of Bluetti AC200P and Pro/Trans Manual Transfer Switch kzbin.info/www/bejne/joKVoqCrm5pkl5o . On the Bluetti EB3A and any other small models would it work with a ProTans 2 , Just talking for a couple rooms with LED lights and SMALL TV which is less than 80 watts. See alot of videos with test of plugging in of different items in it but nothing with the Pro/Trans 2 for smaller power stations. Since you have the small EB3A wondered if it would work for just for some lights and smaller TV by going through the Pro/Trans 2? Looking at the smaller models like BLUETTI EB3A - 600W 268Wh ... BLUETTI EB70S - 800W 716Wh .... BLUETTI EB55 - 700W | 537Wh .... I already have the Pro/Trans 2 but instead of taking out gas generator when power only goes out for an hour or so it would be easier to use smaller battery power station instead of gas one. Thanks for the other videos also.

Huge waste of money. Actual useable Watts. About 240 ! Real life usage. What would you want to leave on for 7 hrs? A 500W heater. This Bluetti will not power it but for 1.75 hrs tops. What about a TV for 6hrs? Hmmm? Then you must recharge it. Waste of money. Look at it this way. Nobody's talking about this low Watt available over the long haul for the nite or day. 240W ÷ 7 hrs = 34 W useable per hr before it's empty. Nobody's talking about this talking point.
@PreppinontheCreek12
@PreppinontheCreek12 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching and for commenting. You make good points. This power station is not meant to run heaters and tv's all night. I wouldn't recommend this or really any other power station to run a heater because they pull to much power. You need to have other ways to heat because solar power stations in general don't have the battery capacity for it. I like this power station and it does have its uses. Thanks again for watching and commenting.

You can add back up batteries for extended life. Many videos show this. It’s a mobile unit for short bursts of good energy in the field and temporary, but like I said. You can have large battery capacity hooked up to the eb3a when you need it for several days +. I’m looking to get two 12v in series or one 24v 280 battery which will feed a steady 200 watts totaling 6720 Wh DC to DC through the Solar port. From what I’ve learned, this will work. The neat thing is being about to leave the heavier back up batteries in vehicle or house or boat at have a handy mobile unit for camping or field work far from extension chords.
