Bluetti EB55 power station - 230V circuit short

I bought the Bluetti power station on November 29 in 2021 and since yesterday it has malfunction. So it didn't even last two months. All functions work as expected, only the 230V circuit is short (with and without our connected device).
The BLUETTI customer Service asked me to make a video of the malfunction, so this video is primarily intended for Bluetti customer service

Danke :-) ich denke, dass das Video dem Support nicht unbedingt gefallen wird, aber was will man machen. Ich kann ja 7GB 4k Videomaterial nicht per E-Mail schicken 😁. Noch habe ich keine Antwort.

Habe mir auch so ein Teil bestellt. Danke für das Video, ich werde es gleich zu beginn ausgibig durchtesten. Wenn was nicht funktioniert nutze ich mein 14 Tage Rückgaberecht. Wenn man es nicht ausschalten kann, bleibt wohl nur abzuwarten, bis der Akku leer ist.

I bought one and it arrived today. Tested the USB and wireless chargers and it worked. Plugged in a small portable torch to test charging that which is 1.0W and after like 20 minutes I got the short circuit error too. Did you return yours or did you manage to fix it??

@@winstonsmith3433 we cannot fix it. I complained on their contact page, Twitter, Instagram and finally got hold of them and asked for a replacement. But that unit had the same issue and they didn't want to even refund my money but somehow I pleaded my case and got a refund.

@@eranjanak I purchased 10 days ago. They willing to give me refund, but I have to pay for shipping cost, ask all cables & parts put back in the box and take photo of the product. I don't keep anything, but seems kind a odd the way the rep asked it.

Witam, też mam ten model i podobnie przestał działać, po trzecim ładowaniu nie ładuje się, próbowałem się z nimi kontaktować jednak tylko pytania itd. zakupiłem drugi taki sam i jest ok. Hi, if you don't know exactly what you're doing, you shouldn't open the device to get to the battery. Your question suggests that you are not an electronics technician or electrician - so it is better not to tamper with the device, that can be extremely dangerous, even life-threatening!

I hope they replace or tell you how to solve this problem. Very strange! I have the EB70 and love it. I use a Baldr 120 watt folding solar panel with it. Works great!

@@Besteph22 That stinks. Good luck getting a hold of them, they are notoriously hard to get a reply from. Or they take forever to reply. BAD customer service. I've been lucky with mine so far.

Ja, für mich gab es eine Lösung. Nachdem das Video vom Support geguckt worden ist, hat dieser mir noch nicht einmal mehr einen Austausch angeboten, sondern nur die Erstattung des Geldbetrags. Ich selber habe mir als Ersatz die Ecoflow Delta Mini zugelegt, etwas größer aber nur unwesentlich teurer. Bis auf die nahezu unbrauchbare Android App bin ich damit sehr zufrieden.

Hi Daniel I have the same problem as you with the EB55 mine broken down tonight and the only things working are the front display and rear light. I bought this unit Feb 2022 from Bluetti Germany. I've made a video like you.

For me, the solution was a full refund after shipping the EB55 back to bluetti und buying an Ecoflow Delta Mini.

Hi, I've read on some forums that turning off all areas and waiting might help. Good luck with customer service. I bought an EcoFlow Delta Mini and it doesn't cause any problems (video follows).

I have a same problem as you. I've tried everything to RESET and no luck. I purchased Bluetti EB3A through Amazon about 10 days ago. Bluetii will not want pay for shipping cost for return even when state FREE RETURN on Amazon. It is customer cost to return their defect product. I've send email, but not heard back yet. Have you able to get the DC circuit to reset? If you find a solution, post it here.

I have a Bluetti EB3A 600w DC output SHORT. I have no luck with various reset method on my own. The tech tell me to send them video and picture as well. It sad... but I think the company support don't really know what they are doing. If you are returning the unit, the support folk also ask for photo or video as well.

Mine during reset of AC make an arc . Won't correct self . If it a short it ruin machine it say .

That's nearly true! But, the question is: Will you have AC (or DC) power with a Bluetti device, when you need it? And in addition: do you have a strong and competent partner and customer service with Bluetti? For me, I answered both questions with NO - not jet, maybe in the future.

It is happening right now on my EB70 after only 7 days of use Very unreliable Eill not buy anything from this brand again in the future I will jump to Ecoflow I know it is more expensive but for me time is money and I want reliability above all. What a waste of time buying this EB70
