Bluetti giving Ecoflow some SERIOUS competition in the extra-large home back up market!!! Nice review!!!

Great video. Do you have a list of all the items you used in the video. That would be helpful. Thanks

Well Done. Thanks kind Sir.

I wonder if Bluetti will make their own branded inverter/generator with auto-start for these? This way it could monitor how much power is left on the EP500's and you could program the genny to start up when it hits that low mark.
@GeneratorReviews2 жыл бұрын
Now that would be perfect!

I assume your EP500’s have the same blip in UPS mode as it resync’s to the AC power input that the AC500’s do? I.e. it cuts out for a second or two on the output until it is back on the same cycle as the input source. For the person that asked AC500 vs EP500 Pro. AC500 has 50 amp outlets, more solar capacity, more inverter capacity, etc. The EP500 is basically the same as the AC300.
@GeneratorReviews Жыл бұрын
Yes that is correct the resync needs to be updated, there’s no need for it to cut power off and then back on.

Great video! What do you think your endurance time would be starting with fully charged units at the load you had?
@GeneratorReviews2 жыл бұрын
At that load with no input charging, I could probably run about 18 hours by adding solar panels and back of generator you’re set

Gavin, this is a really awesome setup. Are you aware of something similar to this can be done as a DIY? Meaning buying batteries, BMS, "fusion box", etc?
@GeneratorReviews Жыл бұрын
You can always do a system like this check this video out kzbin.info/www/bejne/bpmQmaNuhNCgbq8

Hello do u have a video on that transfer switch?

I have a few videos where I mentioned it, but I haven’t done one specifically for this brand

If I got that the eb500 would be my are there blue Eddie 300 or there other 500 or if I can get it there 900. But I wonder if you can add extra units for just battery capacity like if you could add two more batteries to each unit and that would make it a nice unit.
@GeneratorReviews Жыл бұрын
I don’t think you can add batteries to this one

I haven't seen any videos out there comparing the bluetti ep500 vs. the bluetti ap500. would you consider making one ?
@GeneratorReviews2 жыл бұрын
I will definitely consider it

When the fusion box is hooked up, do the plug sockets work on the unit?
@GeneratorReviews2 жыл бұрын
Yes they do still work

My home uses between 50 kwh and 80kwh in a 24 hour period (I have a well and all electric appliances on a ranch). I have a 50 amp transfer switch at the main panel. I would prefer to run a split phase 240v Diesel generator, but they don't seem to be available. I was thinking of running a pair or bluetti devices at 50 amps split phase to power the home in a power outage and use a smaller diesel generator to recharge the bluetti. Any recommendations on which Bluetti to get?
@GeneratorReviews Жыл бұрын
In order to get the split phase, you have to buy two units. I really like the EP 500 pros Because they included Inverter and the batteries in one unit

Which is best to power your home, the ep500 pro or ac500+ b300s? Your thoughts on that.
@GeneratorReviews Жыл бұрын
Hi personally prefer the EP 500 pro because it’s all in one. Just has cleaner look.

How long does it take for the generator to charge powerstation?
@GeneratorReviews Жыл бұрын
It will take around four hours to complete the charging process
@tylerjackson8239 Жыл бұрын
Technically speaking.. could this be used as a way to achieve lvl 2 charging foe an electric vehicle?
@GeneratorReviews Жыл бұрын
I don’t think it has enough capacity for EV charging.
@tylerjackson8239 Жыл бұрын
@@GeneratorReviews but it would be running off 240v 30amp.. if I lowered the amp to say 24.. that should technically allow a lvl2 to work. My only hiccup would be if i need to trick the ground with a ground pin, and have enough batteries to extend the charge, no?

would you recommend the 2 bluetti ep500 or the 2 ecoflow delta pro for running your home?
@GeneratorReviews Жыл бұрын
They both are well known for reliability and quality. The only difference between the two is that the EcoFlow is easier to move around and used in other applications such as camping and Rv’s. If you don’t plan on doing those things, the EP 500 would actually work best for home use backup power.
@pkomonko Жыл бұрын
Except for the EP500PRO doesn't take expansion batteries whereas the ecoflow delta pro does
@NeverTakeNoCut-offs Жыл бұрын
Gavin, would you buy these?
@GeneratorReviews Жыл бұрын
These are serious back up systems. They are a bit pricey but so worth it. Yes I would.
@rushrucker17852 жыл бұрын
How long is the generator cable that charges both units?
@GeneratorReviews2 жыл бұрын
It’s only 4 ft but you can use an extension cord with it.
@Freynightwalker Жыл бұрын
Can you power a 240v load and charge from a generator at the same time?
@GeneratorReviews Жыл бұрын
Yes it actually will load share with the generator and charge
