Seeing you catch a shiny Orthworm reminded me of the one I caught. I wasn't even hunting and he caught me by surprise. I caught him and named him "Blu" (because I couldn't think of anything else) Turns out, Blu is VERY sleepy. He sleeps every time I bring him out in a picnic. Like... at every opportunity he can get.

I definitely don't recommend this, but having a Pokémon with the Jumbo Mark makes it the same size as a Titan Pokémon after you've defeated it. It's stupidly rare to find a Pokémon that large, however.

youd need to get a humungo power sandwhich to make it worth trying which screws over encounter power. still 1/64 odds after the shiny rolls. Probably possible with luck and outbreaks.

I'm actually pretty sure I got that glitch where the titan appears shiny in the dex since the only shiny I had registered before I started shiny hunting was a shiny bombirdier that I'd apparently encountered, but have zero memory of ever seeing. I'm pretty sure I'd only fought like two bombirdier at that point.

If you go for all of them with the jumbo mark, then they’re guaranteed to be the same size as the titans. But I understand not doing it because of how annoying it would be to hunt all of them jumbo and shiny.

Um, actually, you can shiny hunt the titans. As AbsolBlogsPokemon explained in his recent Badge Quest movie, and as found by Anubis on twitter, the titans, as well as Arven's pokemon, actually have two versions rolled - the battle version and the display version. The display version can't be rolled as shiny - it's shiny locked - but the battle version can be shiny. That's where Arven's pokemon and the titans differ. A shiny battle version of Arven's pokemon will take over the display version and show up as shiny in the battle, but the shiny battle titan won't overrule the display shiny-locked one. However, you can still see if the battle titan was rolled as shiny by going in the pokedex after the titan encounter ends and seeing if you got the shiny version registered, which you actually can't do for Arven's pokemon, even if they're shiny. This means a reset to check a titan's shininess includes the 2nd phase, the cave cutscene and the Professor phone call (outside of Bombirdier where you can't save between the phases so you have to do both).
