Do you think we will be able to portal in another WR or are we going to have to work with what we have?

You don't just show leadership and be productive when you feel like it. It's a matter of being consistently productive when you play a key position on the offense. After the Rose Bowl win over Utah, I thought we were positioned to have a blockbuster 2023-'24. And go to the playoffs. The WR's AND the RB's didnt perform up to those expectations last season. KALS had a few spectacular plays, but not near what he did the season before. And Yurcich regressed so badly he ended up being fired after the Michigan home obscenity. With a consistently productive RB and WR room, we beat OS and UM and win the B1G Ten. Diaz's "D" gave the ball back to our "O" repeatedly in both of those games, enough times for us to score 2 td's and win both games. The offense flat out couldnt get it done in both games. We had the tools, we had the talent. We flopped.

KLS became butthurt when Fleming transferred to PSU and he was looked at as being WR1 and taking KLS’s spot. KLS never lived up to the hype as WR1 and at best he’s WR3, maybe WR2.
@Seveneleven448 ай бұрын
Ha! If we are relying on Julian Fleming to be a true WR1….well there begins the typical PSU delusion. The kid peaked in HS. he’s underwhelmed so far in his college career, and even being a bench guy, he was hurt A LOT at OSU. I could see him finishing the year with something like 23 catches for 318 yards and one touchdown. 😮
@TheDoctorfox0078 ай бұрын
@@Seveneleven44 That’s why we badly need to get a proven WR from the portal. The WR room has a lot of potential but is unproven. The WR position is one that is a big time question mark.

AU fans will either love KLS or hate him. If he’s a cancer to the LR, the fans at AU will ensure he hates life. That’s just the sad reality of the situation. Our fans are ruthless. It bites us a bit but that’s the way it just is. We appreciate the talent yall pushed our way through. He’s going to have to earn respect from the fans at AU, and he’ll have to earn it in the first 4-5 games. He’s already gonna be in the shadow of Cam Coleman from the jump so we’ll see if he’s such a cancer come October. We also have two more complete studs that just got on campus as well. We have options is what I’m saying. If he’s not ready to ride for the brand he won’t play much. Ya’ll better not start the “AU poached him” crap a lot of fans say if he pops for 800 plus. We really do appreciate the support though 😉

It’s rare to find WR rooms wide open like Penn state. He was their WR1 last year and in the pole position again for this season and it’s a plenty big enough stage for nfl attention. Makes you feel like what they said in the video was right and this was nothing to do with football

I think KLS has lots of talent and potentially could be a great number one. It's just that he has never been able to give number one WR results. Someone needs to have a talk with the man and explain just how lucky he is to have people give him the opportunity to show his talent and have people still believe in him. He needs a mental reset. He needs to start thinking team not me me me.
@zwicker36978 ай бұрын
Huh? He has more catches than the rest of he wr room combined. Who is putting up #1, #2, #3, #4 numbers without him?
@j-mo31298 ай бұрын
@@zwicker3697 He disappeared in big games. A number one should be a big problem for opponents defenses. He was never a player that defenses schemed around. But I don't see any WR currently on the roster becoming that killer. We need a real threat or at least a system that can get receivers open. What we don't need is a malcontent problem in the locker room.
@zwicker36978 ай бұрын
Who on offence did not disappear in big games? Did allar or singleton step up? Should they be gone too? The fact is kls had more catches than everyone else combined in the wr room. Did that step up? Who is your number 1 now? Make sure it is someone who stepped up in big games?

@@zwicker3697 We were discussing WR's. I do understand your point. I agree it takes a team working together to make things work. But KLS was very inconsistent and may have become a locker room cancer which could affect every aspect of the offense. Wallace was better when healthy. JMHO

Wasn't a great WR anyhow. Average. Just like all PSU receivers over the past 5 years. And a bad attitude as well. Ever since NIL, players think they can tell coaches what to do. And that THEY have the power. Not the Coaches. Then you have idiots like Kelce. Practically knocking his coach over during the Super Bowl because he wasn't happy. These kids SEE that STUFF. So what do you expect will happen.
