It’s almost 2022 and I come back here every now and again, maybe once every year in autumn and I listen and reflect back at how time has gone by. I would listen to this about 8 years ago in my darkest days here. It’s nice to dip my toes in again just to feel it and remember what has been and gone and where I am now.

That's beautiful! Connections like that make life more living. I feel the same way, it just puts you back in that position. The smell, color, thoughts, feelings all rush back to you. I was really into title fight a while ago when I was depressed and anxious all the time. That feeling never goes away, it's always there for me. But this song always makes me feel anxious again, not in a bad way but in a way that reminds me of who I am. It's refreshing

Can't express how much I agree with you. I am about to get 27 in September. Life's been going pretty fast lately. But with their music, it feels like I am still young and exploring the world. I've also had a hard time finding the right people to start making music myself. The problem has always been that I am a bass player. Lately I figured out that I do not need much of the external input and I could try to put the music together myself. Gonna be working on something starting next month. Let's see where it takes me. Thanks to Title Fight/Nothing/Whirr for the inspiration.

I'm 21 now, but discovered them when I was around 14-15, brings me back in a crazy way... Met Ned recently at a Glitterer show, got to tell him how much his music changed my life, he was super cool given he was dealing with a probably annoying drunk kid meeting one of his heroes haha, these guys are are absolute inspirations, all around.

Title Fight has been with me through the biggest transitions in my life. From surviving middle school, extremely tough times in high school, deaths, suicidal tendencies, and now motherhood. jamie makes playing those chords and singing look easy, but some of those chords are a little tricky and when hes moving up the frets, and most people wouldnt be able to both sing and play at the same time. he really is a great guitarist and his vocals are brilliant too.

I turn 20 in five days. I feel like people my age have a lot of weight on their shoulders when it comes to assignment due dates, working overtime, getting our first bills, dealing with toxic relationships, etc. But hearing the words "This strange routine sometimes weighs down on me, but I wouldn't trade it...not for anything." sheds a lot of light on a normally depressing circumstance. I know I will never get to see these boys on stage, but their songs will forever give me hope and strength to carry on. LLTF

Reminiscing on the Title Fight days tonight. I was lucky enough to catch them in November of 2012 in Santa Cruz, California. I'll never forget when they went into playing Safe in Your Skin, they talked about how Hurricane Sandy just ravaged their home on the east coast of the US, and all their friends were in turmoil, while they were out touring the country in a van. I've always loved this video. Thank you, John, for capturing a very precious moment in time. No One Stays At The Top Forever. Long Live Title Fight.

it's because the chords that he uses are standard chords that have notes added and/or taken away. For example in Safe In Your Skin, one of the chords is a C chord but he leaves the B string open and instead hits the 3rd fret of the top E string. Its really about learning the variations of the chords.
