@@fo0lixh that showed up after installing it with blur-installer.exe? try reinstalling if so, that error is usually because of dependencies not being properly installed but the installer should handle all of it for you. Also make sure you've installed the Visual C++ Redist: support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads-2647da03-1eea-4433-9aff-95f26a218cc0

bro, what you have coded here is amazing and i don't think people really understand the gravity of this. over the past 10+ years, editors have been struggling with adding motion blur to their videos with RSMB & it causing painfully slow render times on Vegas & Premier Pro, since it cannot compute the frames efficiently even with GPU. this was so well thought out and very customizable. i couldn't even have thought of coding this myself but thank you so so much for creating this and making it a dream application for those who like to edit montages ❤

Update: I've changed quite a lot in the program, it should run faster now and not freeze during rendering. There's also now an installer which automatically installs all of the required dependencies, so for anyone who had trouble installing try using that, just make sure to also download the new version.

Hopefully more people start talking about using this method of motion blur in the 3D art/animation space. I just discovered this tool, it's awesome! I tried using it for my 3D animations as i 's much faster than doing it in the software. And it doesn't need vector data which is great for certain lens effects that make getting vector data impossible. I'd say the 3D animation/VFX space is a great place for this tool; and so far, it seems to provide good results!

Coming to back to drop my Workflow after doing numerous tests with various framerates & settings. These are what work best for me and YMMV. tldr; don't add blur to your clips before, export your project at 60fps and add blur AFTER. adding blur to 240fps clips beforehand causes the video and audio track to desync, the video will be lagging behind. EDITING WORKFLOW - record any games @ 240FPS 100Mbps (i use Action! Recorder @ 240FPS, 100Mbps on Ultra) - after farming clips, edit however you like (i use Premiere Pro) - export your project with these settings 1920x1080, 60FPS, Encoding Settings: Profile -> High, 100 Mbps CBR - take your exported video and drop it into blur my blur settings: - blur blur: true blur amount: 1.3 blur output fps: 60 blur weighting: equal - interpolation interpolate: true interpolated fps: 960 - rendering quality: 20 preview: true detailed filenames: true - timescale input timescale: 1 output timescale: 1 adjust timescaled audio pitch: false - filters brightness: 1 saturation: 1 contrast: 1 - advanced rendering gpu: true gpu type (nvidia/amd/intel): nvidia deduplicate: true custom ffmpeg filters: - advanced blur blur weighting gaussian std dev: 2 blur weighting triangle reverse: false blur weighting bound: [0,1] - advanced interpolation interpolation program (svp/rife/rife-ncnn): svp interpolation speed: medium interpolation tuning: weak interpolation algorithm: 23 (Extra Step) I personally do this extra step to upscale my rendered video to 4K in order to help reduce KZbin's compression *KZbin will compress your video harder if uploading in 1080p vs uploading in 1440p or 4K. So even if you see no point in upscaling into "Fake 4K" the main purpose is to help alleviate KZbin's heavy compression - after dropping into blur, take your video and drop it into Topaz Video Enhance AI (i'm using v2.6.4) - upscale the video to 4K (Set Output Size to 4K UHD 3840x2160) - i use Proteus Fine Tune, I turn most of the settings to low in order to not mess with the motion blur we added beforehand. add some sharpening and you're finally done. Yes this will increase rendering times, bigger file sizes and take much longer but if you care about the quality and don't mind those things. This is what personally worked for me!

I have a problem I'm hoping you can help me with. When I set it to a blur strength of 1, it should blend 100% of the frames together. But when I try render footage at 240 fps down to 60 fps it only blends 3 of the frames together. But it seems to work fine when I set the blur output to 59 fps, so could it be some kind of rounding error? Would be great if you could help. I'm using version 1.8. Update: It also work fine if I set the output timescale to 1.0004, don't know if this helps or not

blur uses frame blending/resampling to merge frames to create motion blur you have to be recording at a higher fps than what you want to export but blur has a interpolation feature that helps generate frames

when using this my cpu goes to 100% usage and temps go scary high. Is there a way to limit the amount of cpu usage for this applicaton? I tried using BES however it doesnt seem to work for on blur.exe for some reason. If someone has an explaination or fix that will be helpful.

blur.exe is using your cpu to rendering, so is using the 100 % but even is you has the gpu opcion activated is still using the cpu.
