Notice that Graham Coxon is barely in the video for The Universal. He wasn't in a good place at the time, didn't like the song and on the day of filming was several hours late. Cult classics are the weird yet powerful books and movies that imprint a generation. They often step outside the box of societies measurement of normal but they have a way of surviving many more generations. I had my son watch all of the cult classics I could. He read some, but being a bookworm he was busy reading books that will be cult classics of his time, and I'm sure he will pass them on to his children.

"Darker than anything on Parklife, The Universal was one of two Damon songs in 1995 to describe a future British population woozy under the effects of an over-the-counter panacea (the other, 'Ultranol', appeared on the CD single of The Universal). It began life during the Parklife sessions as a bossa nova, proving unworkable and - when Damon played it to Justine Frischmann - even a source of derision.
