Sonic Riders Zero Gravity: All Special On-foot Shortcuts

When you either play Super Sonic without any Rings or have the rare Attack Power-Up, you can access the shortcuts that has a barrier or springs places around certain spots on the track, also Astral Babylon and Mobius Strip doesn't have those special shortcuts so you see why I didn't showcase them.

it's because the CPUs have a superior turning ability compared to a human player and they keep their speed when they turn but we always slow down when we turn, also if super sonic doesn't have rings his base speed is slower than other base speeds even the fly type characters which is slow but is faster than him, that shortcut isn't that good anyways the grind shortcut is better

Just use angel/devil Angel should net you an attack item at least once in a race but it's not guaranteed

I mean it depends I think. With super Sonic you'll still always be slower back on foot compared to when you're on a gear and you take a shortcut with an attack item.

The spring shortcuts are actual shortcuts while the track-specific shortcuts seem to be mini-games to let the player build up more resources to get back in the game.

There is a funny glitch in Meteotech Sparkwork where if you use a Big Bag gear that allows you to do a special Use the gear at the starting activate the special go as fast as you can DO NOT SLOW DOWN Once you hit a bouncer right next to the open door there is a chance that you witch ever character you pick will slide at the door The door will start opening it And you will able to fly across the race cross but your stuck there...FOREVER!!! try out pick sonic

He's actually saying "Good" when he lands, but no one can be blamed cause I myself always heard the same, cause it's practically impossible to properly make out what some of the characters are saying when they land because of all the noises. It's just like regular Sonic, I always thought he said "Wahoo !" whenever he lands, but he actually says "Yahoo !", it's because of it blending in with all the noises that I always thought he said "Wahoo".

To be honest, the start lag and end lag of the non-spring shortcuts make it kinda fair, because if there was no lag then that would be pretty OP.

I was always curious to know what would happen if I managed to take these shortcuts. But now when watching this video, it seems that these shortcuts were actually just meant to be an aid to the player playing Super Sonic, considering that the rings gradually decrease and the player runs the risk of spending much of the race on foot.

astral babylon does have spring type shortcuts that can appear over certain babylon emblem holograms if you are in run or attack state when you move over them. Aside from that, would you be interested in playing a modded version of zg? Attempts to enhance the experience. Have a build together already if you wanna try it out

This makes me wanna gear where he just doesn't have a board what so ever so he runs at a decent speed. it would be just as fast as the main board for their character and allow the type abilities cause those mainly have less to do with the boards themself and more of the character plus these routes.. the main downside is that either you wouldn't be able to items or use the ring upgrades and tricks dont give a speed boost on landing

Considering you can't get those often unless you specifically have a board that makes you walk, like S.Sonic's, or have the extreme luck of getting the on-foot attack (unless you are last practically on purpose) none of these feel kike a reward nor seem really worth it. Not that much fancy ones neither and a TON of the same springboard one. Meh.

Did that not that long ago. Sonic on foot runs just about as fast as the Big Bang gear except he can go on springs whenever. Not only that, he has an easier time going around corners than other gears too. Plus no slowdown off road. Honestly the only disadvantage he'd have is no Gravity Dive and lower Max Speed

Yes there is! Which is an attack item in the game, an item that has a fist icon, and the character drops down from the Extreme Gear to attack other opponents. But unlike Super Sonic, this item makes you run at an absurd speed.

It depends on the track. Super Sonic is very useful and powerful on Tempest Waterway (Babylon) and Nightside Rush (Babylon) it’s more fun with more than 5 laps
