As a tip for the rugs, you can pull out the little “tails” of yarn from the cloth and it doesn’t make a noticeable difference on the front and will make the back be flatter and make the rug lay better! You can sometimes feel those tails under your feet if you just glue them down. Not a necessity, but just something I picked up myself😁 great work for your first time!!!!

What helped me a lot for carving rugs is carving between colors while tufting. Makes it so much easier to do the final carve on the finished piece! (Be careful to use the right angle or else you might cut through your fabric, but you can sew it up with pieces from your tufting fabric and then tuft over it)
