I'm entering my second semester of college as a commuter student, and it's been really rough for me in the friend department. I made like one friend on campus who I feel comfortable talking to and stuff, but other than that, I feel alone and sad because I see people on Instagram and Snapchat going out and having fun and I'm not a part of that which sucks. Anyways, one of my goals for 2019 was to put myself out there more and try to make a few more friends and I just wanted to say your words definitely helped a lot and are really encouraging. I always feel like I'm bothering people so I'm hoping that I can put that fear aside and make a couple more close friends. I hope you have an amazing time in Spain! I'm hoping to study abroad in Italy next fall and I love watching study abroad videos so I'm excited for more videos from your journey!

I really relate to this. I’m a commuter at my university and still haven’t made any lifelong connections and am now getting ready to leave next month for a summer study abroad program in Germany. I think this will be just what I need 💜 I hope you meet more lovely people and have fun in Italy 💜🙏🏼

I’m sorry I’m late. but I currently live in Mew York and recently found out that I will move back to Spain for college. Honestly if you go to college in Spain it’s worth it. Even if you don’t have a spanish residence it’s still very cheap from what I’ve read.

being in my first semester in college, i have been in a similar situation where i have had a hard time making friends and with the few friends i have made, i constantly feel like i am bothering them because they seem like they have other things they would rather do. i wish i had the same motivation and confidence to put myself out there more because it really is a struggle and it feels like everyone else has already made their friends

I'm in my second semester of college(still a freshman) and I been having trouble making friends. I see that many have friends from high school, and just seeing them with friends makes me feel lonelier. I had always had trouble making friends since elementary. It's hard to continue making conversations with people. Any advice?

I'm also in my second semester of college as a first year. I would say try to join some clubs around campus or sports. It's a good way to find people with similar interests as you and it's also a great way to keep yourself busy. I joined a program at my college which made me come in a week earlier than all the students and the other people that I met during that program have become people that I hang out with usually most of my time. So, sometimes you'll have to fake it till you make it, meaning that if you're more introverted you're gonna have to fake being an extrovert sometimes. I hope this helps and that you find your core group. 😊

Hey Dani! First off I just want to say that you are so beautiful and Ive been watching your videos for about 2 1/2 years and I love them so much! I'm not sure if you want to answer this question or not because of personal reasons, but what college are you at in Madrid? I only ask because the dorm looks so modern and I love it and Im a junior in high school and I am entering in studying abroad in college! I'm not sure if a lot of dorms in Spain are that modern or not. Also Im not sure if you even take Spanish, but I don't know much about traveling abroad, but do you have to speak the language in order to study abroad?
