P in BMP means "pekhota", which means "infantry" (Boyevaya Mashina Pekhoty = Infantry Fighting Vehicle ). D in BMD means "Desant", which means "Paratrooper" (Boyevaya Mashina Desanta = Airborne Combat Vehicle or Paratroopers Combat Vehicle). What for is this explanation? This exemplifies the typical WT introduction of a Premium vehicle. 1. Bring in a vehicle that is META breaking 2. Vehicle contains game-breaking mechanic 3. Get suckers, er I mean innocent people to spend Eagles on getting it 4. In one or two patches later they will either fix the broken mechanic or up BR the vehicle. (they's fix it in this case) Things broke on this thing: 1. LRF & range reticle are tied to the wrong weapon 2. Rediculous reload (biggest game breaker) 3. Can carry ATGMs instead of HE (Phly could have carried 34 more stock ATGMs instead of HE) and have the same low reload (second biggest issue)

@@russianoldschoo48 The reload of the HE rounds is fine. The problem is that the ATGMs need to be manually loaded and are not part of the autoloader but WT loads them at the same speed as the HE. On top of that, the loadout model allows you to replace the short HE rounds with the much longer stock ATGMs which is not possible. They made that same "ATGM instead of HE" mistake on the BMP-3.

*Comrades and IFV fetishists beware!!!* *This Vehicle is currently in a very wonky and likely broken, unfinished state and will most likely change!* -It carries only 4 9M117M1 Tandem-ATGM but can fill the remaining ammunition storage with 9M117 ATGM like the BMP3. This is a bug and _very likely_ to be changed, so that this vehicle can only carry 4 ATGM in total. -The Primary weapon is currently the 30mm 2A72 cannon, unlike the BMP-3 where the 100mm cannon is the primary weapon. While this means that you get the reticle for the Autocannon when you want to fire ATGM's with RMB, this also means that you have to switch to the secondary weapon and use the LRF if you want to use HE shells! - The weapons on this tank are only vertically stabilized, which is why it seems a little floaty. This is also (most likely) a bug that (also most likely) stems from the 2A72 being the primary weapon of this vehicle in particular. If you check in X-Ray, both on this _and_ the BMP-3 the 30mm cannon has only been vertically stabilized since its introduction while the 100mm has been fully stabilized. It is therefore most likely that this vehicle will be fixed and then feature a functioning two-plane stabilizer the same way you know it from the BMP-3. -It actually is a rocketship like this, that is not a bug and likely not subject to change. I feel it is important to be aware of this, when you decide wether or not you'll want to keep it or sell it, since many people assume it will have a 38 magazine of ATGMs. It might at release but end up loosing that down the road. You should check out the FW190 F-8, cannon pod upgrade to AP arounds. 93mm of penetration at 100M with it. 4.7 BR in RB ground.

to answer the question «how many more vehicles like this does Russia have?» I say WAY TOO MANY TO COUNT, even excluding the most recent series of vehicles revealed in 2015 with the Armata because those are still not ready for service there are multiple variants of: (tracked) BMP-1 BMP-2 BMP-3 BMD-1 BMD-2 BMD-3 BMD-4 Sprut SD BTR-50 MT-LB BTR-D (wheeled) BTR-3/4/7/40/60/70/80/90/152/Krymsk BRDM-1/2 to be conservative I would say 60+ variants, just the BMP-1 alone can provide more than 15, and this doesn't even include modifications/upgrades done to the same vehicles outside Russia - in particular the BMP's, MT-LB and many BTR's - OR other one-off prototypes like the Object 906 that are a bit harder to find (Ob'yekt 685, the Ob'yekt 934, etc)

IMHO, I think this thing will be moved up quite soon to about 9.7. This vehicle will be SO TOXIC at this BR. Honestly you can move it to 11.0 and it will STILL be super-toxic. It moves like a vehicle in Arcade matches. This will change I'm sure, Gaijin will change the performance of this thing in a bit after enough people have spent money to obtain it and generate some revenue.
