Jewellry business pe Basant ji ka take interesting hai. Diamonds high margin business hai par gold ka retail preference jyada hai. So that is interesting. I did not look at that angle. Waise Senco is late riser to the jewellry business. It has grown more sharply in the recent past. Mujhe yaad hai ki Kolkata mein when I was young 2 shops were known for their brand value. One was Lakkhi Babu (another Marwari) in Bhawanipur and other was PC Chandra in Shyambazar or Bowbazar I think. Jinke paas kam paise the woh Lakkhi Babu ke paas jaate the jinke pass jyada paise the woh PC Chandra ke paas jaate the. Bahut high trust value tha dono ka aur us samay trust of jewellers credentials was the main factor. Senco late entrant hai. Uska main drawback yehi hai ki its East India focused. East India is not as high potential as say West or South. West mein purchasing capacity is higher because people have more money there and in South gold is "god" literally. South Indians only invest in gold. East in not as big market as South or West. So Senco's expansion will have to be seen. Plus ab new age jewelries like Titanium artificial stones Jewelries is catching. Ziva and the likes. Woh ek bada market hai and it remains to be seen what Senco can do in that. But valuations cheap hain.

keeping in view your comments, I purchased Titan but my preference was for Kalyan Jewellers . Titan has given more than 10% and Kalyan I purchased around Rs. 105 and then at Rs. 134 when it crossed its resistance level.

What should be done if you have 5lakhs of more in a mutual fund and it is not performing? Question 3, we are under invested in market, should we invest now lumpsum or only in Sip route.
