CZ rifles are usually very accurate, I had one that was not, but it was the exception. It is my understanding that Wolf match >22 L.R ammo is actually produced by Eley, which is some of the most accurate rimfire ammo available.

@@buffalosoutdoors Even if it fails the cut, I'd give it another look-see even if it doesn't hit the interweb. It looks to be a tack driver. This ammo is flirting with the sound barrier. That makes your 50 yd. target a real world criterion. It's a cryin' shame you can't reload rimfire ammo.

I also had similar results with that ammunition. It was the best load I found in several rifles. Not cheap but not terribly expensive either.

I have a CZ 455 Full Stock model, and it shoot Eley ammo lights out. It really likes the Eley Force. It's a 42 grain HV, but inside of 50 yards it's a tack driver.

That last groups velocity were all around 1135 to 1145 except for that flyer which was 1117. Super shooting again. Loving this series sir.

Since Buffalo has introduced us (me) to this firearm I have been seeing it from time to time in other videos. I have yet to hear anything negative about it and now I have it on a short list (I have a very long short list) of guns to acquire. I have become very fond of these particular videos. This is the ideal 22 LR rifle test bed to test brands and loadings. It's very impressive how many so-called MOA or "sub"-MOA AR-15's that cost over $1500 would have a very difficult time keeping up with this humble CZ 457. Different animals, I understand, but just sayin'.

I kinda wish I had went with a different scope as the Sightron SII just isn't doing it for me, I don't like the dot in the reticle, I wish it was just a fine cross hair. Great scope otherwise. It shot about the same in my MTR. Accurate except for several flyers. In mine Eley target was more consistent. So far Tenex has been the best. My scope broke so I am on hold. Looking forward to seeing your final test.

Hi. Noticed the bullet on the pack at the start had lead shaved off of the projectile. Also good to see you utilizing the Chronograph. noticed that the third & fourth group that shot best only had a velocity variation of 20/22fps. I have tested all ammo i use & club members to ensure we get something that consistently shoots around these speeds. Eley are always on the lean side with their velocity's. long way out on this batch though. good to see you enjoy your shooting.

Excellent shooting and very thorough test. My MTR prefers high velocity ammo for some reason and shoots CCI Blazer (shocking, I know) the best. Out of the premium ammo I have tried it prefers Eley Hi velocity Hollow to the others.

@Jeff Scuderi My Ruger 10/22 is a tack driver with around 1100 fps, and CCI Quiet. The first time I shot Hyper velocity ammo, I was shocked at how the groups opened up. Every other .22 that I have has a favorite that stands out, even if it is cheap/ bulk. ie Remington Thunderbolt ($18 for 500 rds.)

I've shot a lot of Wolf Match Target & SK Standard Plus (Both are the exact same round) in my Marlin model 60 and it is also a very accurate round that is if your barrel likes it.

The new wolf stuff is made by Eley. The old stuff could have been the same as the SK since it was made along side it in the Lapua plant.

Watching your accurate 22 videos gave me the bug, it looked like so much fun. Late last year I went and bought a Ruger Precision 22. I had a lot of fun with it until it got to cold in northern Ohio to shoot. Luckily I had some 22 ammunition because the sales guy laughed when I asked him where he kept the ammo. They have a small amount in stock now, but at ridiculous prices.

Man you don't know how close I came to getting the Ruger .22 Precision when I was looking for a .22 that I could shoot some good groups with. I ended up with this CZ 457 by chance. I had it narrowed down to those 2 rifles and the shop sold out of the Ruger the day before I bought the CZ! Yeah ammo is crazy. I am seeing 500 round bricks going for nearly 200 dollars locally. I can't pay that.

I have a CZ 455 ultra lux. That 28" barrel with iron sights can shoot a quarter size group at 100 yards easily. Def get what you pay for. Too bad Remington didnt have the quality standards that CZ has. Otherwise they wouldn't have went under. They're expensive but worth every cent.

Wolf was the best in my testing, in it’s price range. Some of the Lapua I tested was slightly better in my rifle, but not enough to justify 2x the price

Good point about price range. So far the I've gotten the best 5 shot 5 group average from SK Standard Plus which was the 2nd least expensive ammo I have tested.

When I had my CZ American I shot Wolf Match Extra exclusively, due to cost. When I moved up to My 1710 Anchutz I continued shooting It. I never tried a .22 competition target with my CZ but I did with my Anshutz. It never fell under 245 and has shot one target that was a true 249 and some at our range said if was 250, 250 being a perfect score? Both my CZ and My Annie were sporter qualified as well. The bottom line is Wolf Match Extra is good ammunition if they haven;'t changed it like federal did their Gold Metal Match ammunitition.

Really appreciate this video, just bought 10,000 rounds. One suggestion you have a lot of position changes from your right hand placement to your left hand placement. Some times during the shot I see your thumb on top and others your left hand moves......meaning the different pressures on the stock of the rifle will change impact on the .22 and change the speed of that round. Would love to shoot with you.

Not sure if you can get that here in the uk , but eley are going through a bad patch here due to the inconsistancy in the subsonic 38g ammo as it is now , my local rfd / gunshop have stopped getting it in until they sort it out as have a few more that i know of , they seem to have had problems with it since altering it from the original 40g ammo which was fantastic , but that wolf ammo is looking good , just checked not available in the uk at present time

I learned two things today here, first is that this Wolf ammo. is made by Eley, ( I was lead to believe that Wolf was a Russian made ammunition. ) And second that this is more accurate than SK , that is pretty good shooting.

I believe in all your testing the difference is small for all the ammo tested so far. It looks bad for those $25 dollar a box twenty two shells. There might be more than one winner if you count the cost into the final results. This series of videos is more fun to watch than the Super Bowl. It is for me anyhow.

Nice shooting Buffalo. That one flier on the 5th target was probably due to ammo...I noticed the velocity of that shot was only 1117 but the other 4 were 1136 to 1140. Also, I had no idea the Wolf .22 ammo was made by Ely, good to know.

I've got some Wolf match target. It has the same headstamp as Lapua and SK

I've had really good luck with wolf match extra. In fact I would go so far as to say that if your rifle won't shoot that ammo your rifles garbage. I've always got my best groups with wolf match extra. If you stop cleaning your bore and only shoot that ammo those satellites will go away.

Hmmm perhaps not for youtube but If I was you I would try that ammo some more. Really consistent in speed and some of those groups are really good. I think it has potential. I have never seen that ammo, and we get Eley here. Good shootin Sir!
