What stands out to me is how good this machine is at shredding heavy textiles compared to other shredder designs. Most other designs can't spit out incomplete shreddings, so often severely jam when dealing with lots of textiles

I don't know... the speed is good, but I think the rollers need bigger teeth to give it more bite. Too much stuff just bounces around on top for too long, have these rollers running underneath the primary rollers and you would still get the same size material in the end...I bet processing efficiency would go up by 100% too...

I'd say burned in an Energy Recovery Facility (Incinerator). This machine is finely pulverising the waste so it would burn efficiently. All the metals would be sorted from the bottom ash for recycling, the ash itself can be used to make aggregates for construction. Having said all this, there's a hell of a lot of wood and other non-metal recyclables going through here which could have been separated..........

Gasification (@400F to 600F) is Far better; than, incineration the garage. Once, the (Syn) gas is cooled off, alot of the 🛢 can be reclaimed & the rest of the toxic fumes can be burned away. Too bad it's not common practice.. :( Moreover, The Ash is separated from the Leftover metals, washed & smelted..

I would think incineration of this mess is not very efficient and the ashes left behind would be very toxic. And don't forget to count all that energy that giant muncher needs to keep chewing. And doesn't make sense to run metal through that machine if the end results are to be incinerated.

I absolutely love it, and must admit I have selected the red motorbike myself for the shredding process. It took place on a very cold January day, about -15/20 degrees Celsius, and everything went just smoothly, really good shredder

I was about to ask the same question. The only thing I saw wrong with it was it needed 2 new rims. And I believe it does use mountain bike tires. I own mostly mountain bikes and planning on selling some hopefully this year. (Once I come up with the money.)

I'm no shredder expert... But I do believe this high speed type of shredder is NOT meant for heavy metal items, tyres, super thick plastics... I reckon it is meant for light plastics, timber, typical house refuse such as tin cans, plastic bags, paper, cardboard and light stuff like that. IDK if the tyres and such were placed in the rubbish feed as a way to boast the product video... but it certainly is hard on that machine. You can hear the steel radial belts from some of the tires get stuck on the shredder head and flapping towards the end of the video.

i think this is an advertisement by the maker to sell more of them. it seems to stall near the start on a piece of foam. it has trouble with tyres. it had trouble with blue barrels. i don't think it could handle car engines.
