Big misplay by that Shaman with Kalimos 2, if they went AoE for the 2nd battlecry it would have killed more than 12 damage worth of minions, so the 2nd heal was wasteful. Didn't clear minions and healed less than what they could do to your face.

You can pick 2 different effects if you so choose thanks to the double battlecry, it's just in this instance the shaman valued healing more than damage.

I've been playing a slight variation of this deck that includes Sindragosa and Zola for the extra memes. I don't have the dust for Blazecallers or Voodoo dolls, so my deck is a bit different. However, I've had so much fun with the deck so far! Even if it gets blown out by aggro, the games where I play against a Control deck have been so good.

Yeah I can't remember the last time I was this excited for an expansion post-release. Usually my excitement dies down during the first few days, as most decks tend to follow very specific patterns lied out by the mechanics (e.g. everyone playing goofy quest decks last year, everyone making goofy c'thun decks the year before that). There's still some of that, with lots of odd/even gimmick decks running around. But there's also a lot of fun variety and experimentation to going on. Shudderwock Shamans, Control Priests, Elemental Mages, Taunt Druid ...

I've been playing almost the exact same deck and been finding with the lack of spells it's hard to get the board back after you lose it. Problem being the elementals tend to be a bit slow as well

Have the same feeling. My friend did try and experiment with adding some more board clears (Dragon Fury, Flamestrike etc.) and remove the Book of Spectres

I actually frequently have a problem with too much value. Like most games there's a point where I'm trying to stop myself burning cards. I think it's largely because as well as book of specters + arugal, I run double steam surger. They add the 2 mana deal 2 to your hand, and that adds a flame elemental to your hand, so it's a good one-card value generator. Dealing 2 for 2 can be surprisingly useful, especially if you're struggling to win and keep the board. Maybe try adding one of those. Or if you're losing the board, try adding 2x glacial shard for early game board presence. Make sure you're also running double fire fly and double shimmering tempest.

Yeh, running the double Shimmering Tempest and Spellstone seems like a very strong addition since it gives you a possibility to be able to dig for the cards you don't have space to add in like the board clears.

You can run a spiteful version with flamestrike or pyroblast but then you have to take out either book or the spellstone.

It's a win more or win less kinda deck. I've seen some tempo lists run a secret/elemental hybrid that seems to have a better win rate.

Coin Arugal into Book of Specters on turn 2, drew me a full hand since I hit 3 minions. Burned Jaina on 3. Had to play differently not having the lifesteal recovery, still won.

i liked it when i first saw it, but after some games i made some changes. took out 1 firefly, 1 water elemental, 1 bonfire elemental & Toki for icewalker, faceless, Azalina & primordial (but im thinking of building gedon instead of drake). it still works with book and you still will fill up the ruby stone, i even upgraded 4 in one game once. So still enough elementals :) i also put in darkness, but i dont know which card i replaced it with I like azalina way more than Toki, Azalina is good if your hand should really get empty or just for fun :) and icewalker stops some aggro in there tracks better than 2 fireflies, although baku hunter is still to tough if i dont get the right cards on time^^ still not perfect but fun as hell :) still cant wait for your other fun decks like in plan B^^

Toki is a lot of memes most of the time, not always great. Lot of people asking about mountain giant so maybe that, also I've seen some people use quest

Lucas Jacone jaina is the only legendary you actually need. Arugal is overkill most of the time. Toki is for memes. You can easily discover pyros from servant of kalimos
