i played a vs a tess rogue that ended up with the brukan hero, so when they played their tess it got shadow stepped (cause they were a shaman now) they pretty much ended up playing tess every turn (cause it got shadowstepped every time) and on top of that they had played 2 parley so every turn we kept exchanging cards it was a crazy game.

This deck looks like the *sweetest* version of Thief Rogue, but I'm pretty sure the *best* version probably incorporates the Pirate package in some way. Swordfish, Puffer Fist, Cutlass Courier, and Hooktusk are so strong, and with Swashburglar/Hench-clan Burglar, this deck is already halfway there, anyways.

Swordfish can even get Colossal minions from Faelin. And Hooktusk steals cards that Tess can recast.

I've been playing Thief Rogue ever since the start of the expansion and IMO it's a really fun deck if you don't care about climbing. Not only because it's inconsistent, but also because it's weak against tempo decks, which are unfortunately the most popular archetype on the ladder right now, since your cards that get cards from other classes are usually overcosted. Compare your 4 mana 4/3 discover a spell against mage's 3 mana 3/4 discover a mech. Reconnaissance is the exception to this rule, it's probably the best get-card-from-another-class card we have in standard right now. Faelin can be really fun, though in my experience it can be pretty inconsistent as well since you only have 2 dredge cards in your deck.

@@LazyPandaBum Reconnaissance is definitely the best off-class generator- you can see it from the statistics on HSReplay. It's so strong it's even one of the best cards in Deathrattle Rogue builds. I love Faelin but I don't think he belongs in a refined Thief Rogue list. He's way too slow, and getting multiple Colossi in your Tess pool is redundant since they take up so much board space.

Don't give up on Reno Pirate Thief Rogue! I've been having some success after replacing Faelin/Azshara for the naga that plays expensive spells for free + Sprint, Azsharan Vessel, Contraband Stash and Blood in the Water.

rogue thief players: do you find swashburglar kind of op? the amount of time i get a hero portrait from it is really freaking high. There was one match where i played 3 different hero portraits, which basically broke Tess

I stopped playing Questline Priest because every single time I played Xyrella the shard was put on the bottom of the deck. In this meta I'm pretty sure the shard would be placed in the 4th place from bottom to top.

You can always just run Primordial Protectors as your 8-drops, obviously doesn't work when you're completing the quest with it but the second one on turns 10+ guarantees finding the shard. The downside is you're planning on a game going over ten turns which seems a bit optimistic these days, but if you're going the quest route at all it isn't that much longer to wait and always solves the buried shard issue. If you want to get really fancy you could also just build to guarantee a thrive off the first primordial, then you'll always have xyrella plus thrive for the shard on turn 9... at the low low cost of a terrible turn 8 and not being able to run any spells that cost 3 or more.

The Switcheroo Combo is just obnoxious. Has an abysmal Winrate, because it loses on the spot if it draws the minions before Switcheroo but if it highrolls into it on turn 3 it's just an horrible experience for the opponent. I can't imagine that anyone would really enjoy that kind of playstyle, it's not even a skill intensive combo to pull off.

The biggest turnoff for me right now is the cost to keep up with all the legendaries and i see this deck has like 9 legendaries.I have been trying to play of late but i can't build a single complete deck all my deck choices are missing too many pieces that means too weak to modern decks. I refuse to spend a dime on Blizzard's greedy p2w cash shop BS game and i won't spend a cent until they put soem reasonable prices on COMPLETE deck sets and NOT this BS selling packs.
