did you just get a dummy battery then strip the wire and attach it to the power pigtails?

No I spliced the original cable into Male and female connectors that connects to the battery pack and the ac adapter respectively

@@tompetroff .... yeah .... but you can only mount it in one spot which throws the balance off when using the Ronin S .... need to use counter weights to compensate . Im still undecided whether i need the rig on the Ronin..... does make it harder to balance.

Jay Freeman interesting. Thx for sharing. My cage should be in today or Monday so I’ll update you if I come up with a different solution. I bought a cage handle for the side so I can use it run and gun. I may just keep the configuration you see here when on the gimbal but the t5 in the small rig harness when off it.

But it kills the ronin-s battery life - drops it from hours of power to about an hour. FYI

@@marshallandroxy true... but i got the little v mount core battery with the 1/4 screw and attached it to the bottom of the ronin .. and that charges the ronin and ronin charges the pocket.. works great. last about 7 to 8 hrs.. stop and go recording

@@marshallandroxy did you not just see what I wrote... I attach a small core battery to the bottom of my ronin s ... instead of those little legs and it charges the ronin via usb-c which in turn powers the pocket 4k .. which gives me 7 to 8 ... hrs of bat life .. legit

No ..lol.. To power the camera from the ronin s ---> POWRIG Power Cable for Pocket Cinema Camera 4K(BMPCC) Connects with Ronin-S... To re-power the ronin I use --->Core SWX Powerbase EDGE V-Mount Battery with usb to usb-c … I get about 10 hours stop and go recording the core battery has a quick release mount with a 1/4 thread .. so it can stand up fine without the ronin legs

An ssd will only work in pro-res. With the t5 you can get about 30 min of raw 3.1

@@tompetroff I cant get 3:1 to record for more than a minute or so before drop frames stops it. Could disable drop frame but I would prefer not to lose any at only 24fps. I assume you are shooting 24fps. I record 4:1 and it goes for the full 68mins of recording it at 4K DCI.
