The influence is obvious, dont need to be a genius for that. However, i enjoyed the album. And it's not that it's unique. It is because, it is very well done. Regardless of what you may think it is "copying it" or "being influenced by"...it is a great release. A reminescence of the olden days, which needs to be reminded for future generations, from the actual source of it all, and the results of their influence in BM and the bands to come, like these guys. Great album, cover and sound.

I don't really hear an excessive amount of Dissection influence like everyone is commenting. OK yes it's there, but overall there is just a lot of that old school late 80's thrash/ early death metal sound which Dissection also had. Maybe people commenting "Dissection!" just haven't listened to enough thrash and death metal. I'd just say they did good job of breathing fresh life into a decades- old style. I can listen to this album and not feel like I'm listening to someone else's style just being rehashed. I've heard enough lame, unoriginal Dissection copycats, there is a difference.
@raiseerАй бұрын
I love Dissection, I love Naglfar. This is like 80% Dissection, 20% Naglfar. And the sound quality is bonkers good. But it's kind of missing the "fukk yeah" moments and the catchy riffs that won't leave your mind. Maybe I need a second or third playthrough to fall in love with this.
