This album has a great arrangement of the lyrics, the usage of fire metaphors is a great way to showcase how one can go through the hurdles of life and ultimately prevail at the end of the journey. Also, I like that the album both start and end with these powerful lyrics: "Come, inferno! Come! Bring your dread sorrows and flames To drain what strength in me remains Set the world ablaze, leave the sphere a flame And I shall recall my journey told through fire"

Damn.. This album is easily one of the best I've heard this year. I've always loved Sworn, for me, one of the best Melodic Black bands around. Their first album The Alleviation is an absolute masterpiece imo. The other 2 following albums are also excellent. What a great release, I'm putting this album on repeat during the next few weeks!

It is fucking great, indeed! But there are a few other completely works of art out there it is hard to rank them..i highly recommend The Ruins Of Beverast's "Exuvia" to you and if you're also into PostBlackMetal, you should check "Noktvrn" of Der Weg einer Freiheit out. And the first three Ulver Records, and Weakling, Emperor and Darkthrone have to be mentioned too...etc etc The new Blackbraid Record is also a fucking masterpiece. Greetings from Germany!:)
