I'm not one that enjoys depressive black metal a great amount, but I do enjoy some pretty seminal bands (Gris, ColdWorld, Suicidal Emotions-era Abyssic Hate, etc.). That being said, None's music (especially this album and Damp Chill of Life) siphon a great amount of my emotional energy when the urge to play their stuff comes about. I thoroughly enjoyed this, and I hope that they continue to make music as sentimentally powerful as this in the future.

Utterly incredible, I'm just now discovering this genre of metal. Just discovered NONE a few days ago. IM HOOKED. "Locked, empty room" tears me up inside every time I hear it. I am a custom airbrush artist, I can't begin to tell you the visions this inspires me to paint. I can't wait to check out their other albums. This band, has my undivided attention.

From the dry hopelessness of the sick and tired, to the stinging freeze of the dampening dead. This album contrasts this as if there was a thaw. The rotten stench of what lies now calls out in anger. The seasons reset, the flowers begin to bloom, but the dead linger in limbo to watch from the other side. The soul that longed for death now aches for life. There doesn't seem to be a relief or an escape. The suffering is, ever still, inevitable...
