This is a hauntingly beautiful album. An unusually nordic sound for a US band on top of that. I distinctly hear the Vinterland, Dissection, Gates Of Ishtar and first Mörk Gryning album influences woven into the soundscape, which all happen to be my utmost top black metal bands ever. This is proof that fine arts in metal music is still being made in present day. It was worth staying alive long enough just to hear this, and I feel truly sorry for everyone who never gets a chance to hear these geniously crafted songs while under the influence of ancient shamanistic plants for an enhanced experience, strolling through looming forests to the tones of Everlorn. Hail from the wave-splashed coasts of Öland, Sweden! 🦅
