The first part of this video, showing the differential moving under acceleration, is one of the most interesting things I've seen. You can really see how much the carrier moves, and how soft the factory bushings are!

Too bad they didnt post a clip with the BMR unit installed. Fail.

Yeah, that is a huge amount of movement compared to what I expected

Damn this makes so much sense I had no clue this existed but once it’s explained off course I need it!

Best explanation I've seen this far!

You should add a video with the AFTER UCA install, of the car at the track, and perhaps do a side by side comparo, to see how much less the drivetrain flops around.

Thanks for this updated video! I'm about to replace my sportlines with your springs, so I know I'm going to have to readjust the UCA.

So if my trans is at -3, I need to set it to -1 ? Since I have poly bushing ?

After determining the proper angle, you need to show how to adjust the arm to the proper angle.

Auto vs manual make a difference? Street vs drag make a difference? Thanks

I would have laughed it at the very end when you said it was time to get busy with some new parts you jsut started hitting something with a hammer. like in Hot Rod lol

With the stock drive shaft being a two piece would you be able to lower the car 1.25"-1.5" and not need an adjustable upper arm? With an aftermarket one piece shaft I can see where you would need one.

the car in the background has the wheels just hanging. you should mention the wheels need to be on the ground/loaded. also S197 have a two-piece driveshaft with center support bearing. is this procedure for a two piece propshaft as well?

Scott Fritts The car in the background was in our development shop and used as a backdrop for the introduction for the video. The rest of the footage was shot with the car on a four post lift. This procedure works exactly the same for a one-piece or two-piece driveshaft.

If I lower my GT with your SP065 springs, without an adjustable UCA will it cause any damage to the rear end?

Hey guys.i have a slightly lower S197 2014 GT and when I put an adjustable BMR Upper control arm with BMR upper bracket , BMR lower control arms non adjustable, and BMR a adjustable pan hard bar. I heard a clunk when ever I applied the clutch/gas removing or applying power to driveline. When I went back stock it went away. Trust me I removed each piece individually to find the culprit because I love the quality of these BMR parts. I have read forums that say S197 with uca and lca = clunk no matter what brand. I do not blame BMR at all high quality construction I am just curious what I may have done wrong? Please advise

ozz mann You can tell their customer service sucks by the Cricket reply. You probably broke a trans mount being that’s now the weakest mount/link. Did you remove all the BMR parts or just the culprit?

I have a lot of experience with the 05 to 09 cars. I am replying to an old comment so I assume you fixed the issue already, but the clunk can either be your axle bushing being shot and torn (you will feel a clunk during acceleration and braking if thats the case) or it can just be the famous slop on the S197 drivetrains. The stock ford driveshafts are known for it. I had a bad axle bushing and replaced it with a solid poly bushing I pressed in with a c clamp lol. Make sure your stuff is properly greased and not over torqued if you use poly anything though, or it can bind and the suspension will have a hard time moving properly and the car will feel weird. That goes your your lower and upper control arms too

This video helped me understand the UCA and it’s purpose. Thank you SSCX3
