My son’s wedding gift was supposed to be knitted with hearts. Timing, concentration turned into garter , stockinette border. It was huge 8 foot by 8. Made sure they could roll over, covered toes etc,. Home by Christmas , yay! Prayers, books look good.

Hi Summer! Thank you for sharing all your makes. Knitting is on the way side for me. I enjoy crocheting so much more. One book I just read, was Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt. Unlike anything I have read before. I listened to it on the Libby app for free on my phone. Awsome book about, family and love and mystery and a very smart octopus. I love to listen to a good book and crochet at the same time. Very relaxing. I'm also into Murder/Mystery suspense novels right now, too. I have so many sets of interchangeable knitting sets it’s embarrassing, lol. I love my Addi’s, Chiaogoo, Knit Picks and Knitters Pride. So many fixed too. Get a yarn thats different from your knitting yarn use a blunt needle and just follow the row you have on your needes. Run it at the bottom of your stitches. I redo mine about every 2 inches.

Enjoyed hearing the updates on Flynn and the Yarni stuff….😉. One of the books you showed grabbed my attention. It was the one by Francine Rivers. I listen to books on CD because actual reading puts me to sleep…..😫 I listened to another book by Francine Rivers, called The Masterpiece, and was blown away by the story. Ms Rivers is a Christian author, and like you, I appreciate the “no smut” aspect of her writing. You might want to check out a synopsis of the book online because I think you’d like it. My local library doesn’t have anymore of her audio books, which makes me sad. I will have to check out your channel to see if you have some basic crochet patterns for hats that aren’t complicated. I am not comfortable with knitting because I don’t know how to fix mistakes. But I do love your knitted hats because they are so cute.

Have you ever thought about doing a knitting tutorial on your hats n gloves? Best wishes to you All. I had bone marrow transplant. I had blood transfusions at least once a week after I was released. Had this for about 2 months. This was 10 years ago.

Good idea. Also, with the Knit Picks needles- if you have dental floss- there is a small hole on the needles that you can put a long strand of dental floss through and the life line will be added as you knit. It’s hard to describe in a comment but this is how I do mine (using the floss samples that my dentist provides which I throw into my project bags). I’m not sure if you can do this with the Chiagoo needles- since I have a set, which I love but I’m with you on recommending Knit Picks for beginners who aren’t sure about continuing with the craft, I’ll have to check. Hopefully there is a video out there specifically on this method with the KnitPick’s or Knitter’s Pride needles (hint- just a name change for private label purposes).

When you put your lifeline in. I recommend just using your smallest size knitting needle with a cord long enough to hold all your stitches. That way when you pull back your stitches they'll already be on a cord and knitting needles. Then all you have to do is just knit them off the smaller needles with the correct size knitting needles. The reason for using your smallest needle to put in the lifeline, is to make it easier to pick up the stitches. This way you won't have to take all that time to go back and pick up your stitches from your lifeline yarn. I hope that makes sense.

Continue to pray for Flynn and your family. I know you’ll watch Flynn carefully. A day or two after my first major chemo treatment I got light headed, passed out and needed 5 staples in the back of my head. Remind him not to lock doors so that if he needs assistance you can get in. To gain his bearings after standing and before starting to walk/move, and all the other safety stuff they tell you about.

I loved the lady's mine! I love her books even the ones she does on the Bible. It makes those stories come alive more of you know what i mean. I'm glad Flynn is doing as well he is. I know you are kinda nervous of the care with this iv once you go home but i do believe you got this! Mom had to do IV with my brother's years ago. Also i didn't realize he'd need it that long afterwards, i guess that is something people don't talk much about. (For most people it would be over whelming, but i like medical things etc.). I do hope you can go home before Christmas, only if it's safe. I agree it would be harder to go home then have to come back. But that sometimes does happen, but i know what you mean! And thanks explaining that about the needles, that the needles are part of the length of the overall cable.

I was bawling with joy 10 minutes in. So happy for your family and Flynn. I get do frustrated when I find a pattern and am raring to go but have no supplies. U love making Mittens, the fleece is a great idea but what about some kind of water resistant layer between. A lot of trouble for things that disappear quickly. I remember hating my Mittens because my mom attached them together with a cord and threaded it through my my and out the arms. I still lost them but it took a great deal of effort, lol. Blood pressure was my first thought when you said headache standing up. Such good news that you might get to go home soon, YAY. Not a bad idea to line the mitts. Acrylic gets wet fast and heavy and sticks weird to the snow too LOL. I'm sure you'll get that shawl worked out and a baby sweater started. I would probably wait until after you are all home and after the holiday just to make it more relaxing lol....not that first time knitting on a certain type of project is always relaxing lol. Like me with my first sock LOL.
