Sir, I started watching your videos with an office friend and now I share them with many of my friends and cousins - especially young cousins who have just started their jobs so that they can learn and start early. I too have started course correcting my investment strategy based on your videos - many thanks !! I would like to share my story of rising from financial blunders & lost opportunities to starting the investment journey and now learning fundamentals from your videos. I am now 44, have 2 children - 13yr and 7 yr and working wife I have made many financial blunders in my life - CC Cash withdrawal, Missed EMI, Snowballed loans, poor credit ratings. I have even borrowed from friends and not returned them. I have course corrected big way from 2015-2018. Sold property investments and LIC policies to reduce loans, paid back & apologised to friends (some of them were once good friends who now don't speak even after apologies), and finally started my investment journey in 2018. But I got trapped by bank people in ULIPS & other high commission investments - pruned those and started equity investment. It was mostly fluke based, and ended up buying 35+ stocks After hearing you, now I have pruned my portfolio from 35+ stocks to 11 stocks with objective to increasing concentration. The current value of the portfolio is 12.5Lakh - created a proper tracker to organise the investments I have also consolidated my 50lakh MF holding to just 2 funds, and built a $4500 portfolio of 4 US Stocks. Could you please review my portfolio with a 10yr horizon - I can prune it further to increase concentration in lesser number of companies Stock & %age: KPIT:27%, Titan:14%, HDFC Life:12%, ITC:12%, IDFC First Bank:8%, RELIANCE:7%, CHEMCRUX:6%, ICICI:5%, IEX:4%, SONA BLW:3%, YES BANK:1%, Monthly MF SIP = 40K - Nippon Small Cap and PPFAS Flexicap US Stocks: Tesla, Palantir, Google, Nvidia Wife also invests 50k monthly SIP in MF.

Basant Sir, you have become extremely knowledgeable, almost Ph.D in Stock Markets, and a very nice human being. You are now a walking encyclopaedia of Indian Stock market. Your vast experience from real life incidents and growth and your way of explaining things is almost in parallel. You are quite blunt at times, extremely diplomatic in answering certain questions and very cautious and professional in not disclosing names of stocks and persons whom you meet. I normally do not ask questions but have seen you liking my comments. Just a suggestion. There may be 50-80 good mid cap/ small stocks worth investing even now. Due to limitations of not keeping more than 14-15 stocks in your small cap portfolio, at least you can say about that “ we dont own them, but these are good stocks” Almost 95/98% of Investors have no financial advisors. Because they sell you products which they own and give them huge profits. For them, youtubers are their guide to investing

I am from kolkata, 50yrs, govt servant, i am investing only & only in stock market since 2008 and highly active from 2011 made handsome money and after that did a blunder brought a flat around 1.25cr. however after that also I did not stop to invest in stocks and I am happy with returns, specially 2020 &2021. Right now am a buyer of options but my ultimate goal is to be a futures trader keeping in view the macro economic indicators, I will always hedge my futures positions with appropriate instruments..... Kindly share your views on this..... I will keep on investing in my portfolio stocks on monthly basis.....
