i am looking into the F20 is the estimated 3.8L/100km accurate or does it use a bit more fuel than that?

petrol uses around 7 litres, diesel 6 l/100 km

6 litres? if ure driving economically you'll easily reach 5l /100km and its the same for petrol (7 to 6)

I've driven a demo diesel and shows average 6.3 litres in I drive. Petrol avg 7.8 litres

I want to get this 118i, hope it will be a good starting point with BMW. I drive for about 10000km (15000km in the worst case) every year, is it a good choice over 116d (which is a "weaker" engine according to specs)? Are performances good (I am coming from a 150cv 2.0mjt Alfa Romeo Giulietta )?

The 118i is a great staring point for the BMW range and with your relatively low mileage, the petrol engine should prove light enough to warrant considering. The performance is respectable for the engine size and body. [Chad]

Did test drive it, and found it ok, but after test driving the Citroen cactus, I decided the cactus was the winner, in every way, economy, driving, all the extras, and the cactus is just more agile than the heavier BMW.
