BMW 128i At Bimmer Challenge (Las Vegas Motor Speedway) PART 1

In this video I drive my 128i from Logan Utah all the way to Las Vegas to compete in Bimmer Challenge, a time attack series solely for BMW's. Will my car survive? Will it be competitive, watch to find out!

The line through that second to last turn is definitely tricky. The best way I've found to do it in low power cars its to treat it like sweeper at buttonwillow. Enter fast and trail brake all the way to the outside edge before getting on throttle and powering down to the (late) apex. It sets you up so that you can be full throttle through the final turn and maximize your speed on the front straight. Thanks for the compliments on my E30, next time were at an event together I'll take you out for a few laps!

Another bang-up vid and great driving! i’ve watch your previous car set up builds but have a couple question regarding! what is your wheel fender gap(example 1 finger)? Also, I believe it you run 245 width tires during competition… are you able to run that wet tire on your car with your front suspension spring perch below the top of your tire? many thanks 🙏🏽

About one finger roughly, and the spring perch is actually above my tire. Just a 6” spring with a touch of preload

Have you installed an LSD? If so, has it made much of a difference in AutoX times?

Yes the car has a diffsonline 1.5 way. Honestly, my favorite part of this car. LSD is significant to the performance for this car imo

Also 1.5 way lsd here, in my 130i hatch. First lap through my local track with the lsd, 1 second drop in a 1 minute lap.
