If it's your first RWD car then it's a wise choice. Especially if you're going to upgrade to the V8 version eventually because you'll be used to the live axle handling and the chassis. Some would suggest a Miata but if you're getting the same chassis Mustang then the V6 would be the better choice.

I've had 2 early 911s, '69S, '72 RS replica, both of which I tracked (DEs). I then had a '93 M3 race car. No question the 911s were very cool and great cars to learn to dive in but the cost of maintenance just killed me. The BMW was bullet proof and 10 seconds faster at Mosport. I got tired of trailering. I'm now looking for a 128. Great video and very sensible. Thanks for sharing.

The reason your drivers side measured shorter than the passenger side is because you need to measure from inside the little cuff/cup on the drivers side, not the edge like the passengers. But your method gets there anyways! Awesome video, really enjoyed watching!

Hello brother, tell me please, have you done chassis reinforcements before installing true coilovers? Some people are telling me I can't install true coilovers without chassis reinforcement! What are the spring rates on your coilovers?

Hey man, I have not done any chassis reinforcements on the car. Honestly, this is the first I have heard anyone mention doing chassis reinforcements with a True Rear Coilover. I know a lot of people who have done this modification and track there car without any issue at all, including myself. The only thing I suggest is to check the bushing that the coilover will bolt to on the knuckle (this would be the lower single bolt). If the bushing is bad definitely replace it. And the rates I am running are a 12K front and a 10K rear.

Thank you for your reply brother! BC RACING told me, chassis reinforcements must be done before installing true coilovers, but, I couldn't find anyone who did that! What are the spring rates on your coilovers, I don't want too hard, thinking about 9/5 KG/MM

Very thoughtful and enjoyable review. Love my Le Mans Blue 6-speed, slicktop, M-Sport 128i! Owned it since new and can't imagine every getting rid of it. I will confess to being a bit gentler with mine than @BESIMXCARS .
