I did the M3 style cowl delete, I just kept the m3 rain catch trays & put bms filters for the cabin air. improves cooling, engine bay is now an open V, reduces weight, and theres less plastic to undo for servicing.

You need to get the E92 M3 rain cowls, they are two pieces that replace the big surfboard you took out. They divert water but are shaped so you don't loose any of the engine bay room.

Oh dang that's gonna be a clean color combo! Yah I did blue because everyone goes with red lol. I did the blue M button on the steering wheel as well

Would suggest doin the m3 style diy with your cowl. Check vids on KZbin for how to cut it so u don’t leave your dme unprotected from the rain.

Great video- I noticed you have the 1M power steering resevoir. Curious if you installed it/how you went about it? Any fluid leak from that resevoir? Ive been scouring the forums but can only find a couple things on people doing it and people even saying not to do it...but the OEM one is so ugly. Lol.

Thanks man. Honestly I bought the car like that. Not sure how the process goes but the cars got 97k miles and I don’t have any leaks or issues in terms of steering / steering fluid. I think it also looks a lot better than the stock one 😂

BE AWARE Y'ALL, If you delete the cowl, DO NOT remove your engine cover. Water will drip down to the coil/spark plugs/injectors and rust everything. Lots of people are having issue with cylinder 6 because of that

There are rain catch trays that divert water to behind the left and right wheel arches. Those should always remain in place. The engine cover itself with the foam is for noise insulation

That cowl delete is dangerous I know people who ended up with water in the back of there engine
