AFE POWER N54 INTAKE E8X E9X | BETTER THAN DUEL CONES?

Today we install the aFe Power intake and I am very happy with the results, look, and sound of this system. I would definitely recommend this for your N54! I think its a better solution than dual cones only because we get a bit of ram air out of it and a bit cooler because we can separate the air from the engine itself.

I bet you the stock airbox was better. The afe box is basically completely open whereas the stock box is sealed. So if there were any ram air “effect”, it’s completely lost with the afe. But since nothing was measured nobody knows.

This is the case with most intakes, I will eventually go to a custom intake once I get my turbo etc

Honestly all these intakes are similar, on dyno you get most hp gain from open intakes with no filters however on normal driving you benefit more from stock intake box

Afe is useless. Dont forget the rear intake inlet is 1inch wide thats it. You got multiple limiting factors. So DCI with ram intake channel is perfect system.

DCI does not have a heat partition like this one does and the inlet it nowhere near 1inch much more you should research what your talking about a bit sorry just useless comment
