Comparing a 1973 touring to a regular 2002. Lots of little differences! Did you know that the tail lights were slightly bigger? Or that the windshield is at a different angle?

That's so cool! I can't believe you managed to find a touring. Well done!

I am a touring fan, probably because I own one. It is waiting for some work to get it back on the road

Thanks for your vid..I bought a 1972 touring from Holland last month. It will be shipped to Hawaii via California and hopefully will arrive the first week in June. Can't wait to drive it..

I've been long suspecting Tourings were taller, as they always looked to me in a certain way less "palatable" than the normal 02s. I seem to like better shallow cars, possibly because that way they have some kind of "racing" look... who knows.... anyway, I always "felt" something was spoiling (to my eyes) the Touring's overall proportions and now I know for sure what it was! Thank you!

It is awesome, that you have a 2002,Touring, in an orange color, plus those rims or alloys,if you look closely, they resemble the alloys that the ccx Ferrari Dino has it would be awesome if you can restore that Touring, now that is a car that you don*t see much like the 2002another model that is quite rare, but if you have luck, to get a 2002 Turbo .

Every piece of glass on a touring is touring specific

Does the touring have more rear legroom? It appears the wheelbase is longer but because the proportions are changed it’s tough to know. I’m guessing it does have a few more inches but you never quite addressed it specifically.

Dunno if you said this and I missed it, but the Touring is quite a bit shorter, I think like 6 inches. why the bumpers are shorter, gas tank is a different design. Did you find this one on 2002Faq?

where would you get new rockers from?

Walloth Nesch has those parts. Even the BMW classic division supplies a surprising amount for these cars!
