I am in the Cayman island, my DME for my bmw x 1 went bad and I got a used one, if i do this, taking the ISN from the old one and write it in the used one just that will make the used one work on my car? I don't want to sound foolish, but I always hear people say they have to clone the DME, so I wanted to know if this is basically the same as Cloning, I am using my Autel im608pro2

You look at the stickers or search for the part. Easy to find the manufacturer of a part. Plus it said it is ms80 or whatever. So you could simply look at both brands until you find this part number. Just gotta open that brain up.

How do you program the key using the isn number?

ISN is like the password. You use the tool to program the keys, but not possible without ISN-number..
