The kid is what all kids should be haha. I was literally having the same dilema m235i vs 135i and ended with e82 135i with 6 speed manual and N54. No regrets.

So wait, has this kid driven all of those m's? I had the e46 m3, e92 m3, f82m4, f87 m2. The e46 m3 was my favorite followed by the M2. Sold all of them and now have the 135is, not as good as the m's a lot cheaper and almost as good.

You were very pleased with the torque and speed of the 235, but didn't compare that with the 135. How does the 135 compare in those respects? I'm in between buying a 135i or m235i. This video made me want the m235i just for the torque fun

it’s seven years later and I should not have watched this :-) I just love the one series and it looks still even better than the M235I. I have a convertible as it was the best deal I can find used but I really want the coop. If I had a coop, I think I would just stick with it for another 10 years and swap out motors or whatever it took :-)

Btw, the 135is and the m235i have the same horsepower. M235i doesnt do 4.2, more like 4.6-5.0 0-60.

He’s right about that 135 is better then m235i because I had both and I’m 22 years old and just that the 135i feels like a real car idk why

I had a 128i back in 2014, and I loved it. The regular I6 engine was enough to make the 128i a great daily driver, especially in the autobahn were I used it the most and the German back roads. I believe the M235i its a good aspiring "M" car. However its too pricey, almost as the M2. BMW needs to lower the price of the M235i in irder to make it one of the best cars for the money and most "practical" sport car in it's segment!

The more I drive the E87's, the more I like them. I've even heard some people say they prefer the 128i, it's lighter. You're right, the m235i is expensive as fuck.

I've been eyeing 128i's because their practicality and their driving dynamics. Also, it's the cheapest used bimmer of our time! They go by 7k to 12k on the used market, especially the manual ones!

The 1m was a limited production car they only made 1400 of them in 2011 that's why it still holds it's value

Just get the 135i. It's better looking, better handling, cheaper and the N54 is worth the upkeep.

I’ve owned a 128i, 335i, and now my current 135i. I’ve driven an E46 M3 and a 230i xdrive. The M3 was AMAZING. The 128i was fun, the 335i was pretty good, but I much prefer my 135i in almost every way. I was super disappointed with the 2 series. Granted it wasn’t an M235i but nothing about that car other than the ZF 8 speed was special. The steering was fucking awful . Idk if that’s a 230i thing or an xdrive thing or what but I HATED it. The perfect BMW would be the 1M
