I owned this car but not station wagon. I can't say anything but about It, I hadn't any problem and when I sold It , after 350.000 kms, still reached up to 200 km/h easily. Good car, good test! 😉👍🏼👍🏼

Had one exactly like that color. But also the interior was like outside. M54B22, 125kW petrol, color code was: Turmalin Violet :) was beautiful car, sadly the engine died :D

I just bought a coupe with 210k miles, drives better and smoother than some newer cars that I've had, remap to 190bhp, bit of rain and she slides all the time with 255 at the back, such a fun car! You need a 6 spd manual tho.

Well uhh also the possibility esp not working i have a 2.2cdi merc with about 125hp and it smokes tires pretty well in 2nd not sure about third tho (my esp and abs both aren't working) also yes wet road does help with wheelspin (personal experience)

My cousin had one just like this but it wasn’t a station wagon and it was 2004 (same specs inside). Fast and luxury but maintenance kills all the fun, it really put a hole in your wallet even tho it’s not that big of a engine and it’s a old car😂don’t be fooled by that…anyway, he kept it for some months and recently traded it with somebody for a Fiat Bravo 2010 1.4i Manual

Fiat Bravo is a disaster. Those cars have many problems. BMW requires a certain standard in repair quality (high), i.e. which means OEM parts and knowledge for the steps on how to properly repair it. But when the parts are replaced, it drives superbly and lasts for another 7 - 10 years.

If anyone asks me “what’s a Bmw that is reliable and decently fast” the e46 320 is always my answer. Yes the car might be equally as expensive to fix as any other Bmw but the difference is with the e46 2.2l engine you won’t need to go back 1 month later to fix a new issue. You’ll be set for a very minimum of a few months more often than not the car will run great for years to come with normal maintenance as long as it doesn’t have a shit ton of mileage

Je l'ai eu pendant 3 ans. 50 000km (200 000km à 250 000km). Pas de gros problème à part un régime instable vers 2000 tr/min et un bruit de transmission à l'arrière. Boite de vitesse un peu dur. Mais elle consomme rien (4.7L/100km) C'était pas ma meilleure voiture. Je préfère la Laguna III GT DCI, plus précise et plus agréable à conduire et aussi plus fiable.

Short: if you don’t like diys don’t buy one! Long: Very economical on long journeys, I once did ~1200km with a tank and often do 1000+. They are aging tho, and a lot can go wrong so you better find a well maintained example. BMW parts are not cheap. Almost everything can be diy. Engine: turbo, crankcase oil breather and swirl flaps are the first things you should look after. Random stuff: heater resistor, window regulators, central locking, trifecta lights, rear subframe, water leaks

Good engine. Needs a lot of maintanance after 10.000km you Should change The oil/filters otherwise the engine parts will fall.

+ depends upon parts that needs to be changed. Normal stuffs like bushes, suspension arms etc. are not as cheap as other cars despite it s old nature.

What's this, using turn signal? In the words of the late Governor Swan: HANG HIM 🤣 Got my 318D (w/150hp engine from a 320CD) M-sport Frankenstein for 350. These are probably the only cars you can get coilovers cheaper than OEM suspension 🤣 I just call them the sporty Hi-Ace, same sound as the venerable Chewbacca engine, D4D, you know the sound when you get on it, GNUUURRRGHHHHHH 🤣 Goes just as sideways, probably pulls just as much weight, but is comfortable'r to drive (TA Technix is cr*p) and has IRS so goes faster in slides.
