Last year I found an 85.000km e36 323i on mint condition. First owner was an old man who used it ony on the weekend, and second owner had it sleeping in the garage for a whole year. Very lucky find, allthough the speedometer sometimes randomly stops working. Other than that, car's great. Sedan of course

@@seanmccormick4675 3500€. For the prices some e36s are getting at the moment (some bullshit) pretty good imo. He didn't ask for too much money for the little use it had when I bought it, he wanted to sell it asap. By the way if you are looking to buy an e36, if you don't mind the looks, sedans are way cheaper than coupes and perform exactly the same (I even heard sedans' chasis feel more solid)

@@norphes3865 well I actually have 4 BMWs 2 sedans and 2 coupes I paid 400$ for the 323i sedan and I paid 500 for the 320i sedan and 350$ for this 318i coupe and also got the other coupe which is a m sport 318i for only 1500$ some of these cars had problems that's why I got them for cheaper so now I can put money into them

+Martin O'Byrne mmm, i'll think you find both variations of the 323 are ALL 2.3L. m50b25 has 190 bhp because of the inlet manifold. m52b25 has 170 bhp because it DOESNT have the m50 inlet manifold. but they're all 2.3 :P

Jörgen Nilsson Yeah down tuned 325i engine .
@kanalnamn
@kanalnamn 7 жыл бұрын
Most definitely not. There are vast differences between the M50 and M52 engine, and also vast differences in their characters as the M50B25 is quite peeky and the M52B25 is not. With the logic you're using you could just aswell compare the M52 to any other arbitrary engine.

Ian Townsend ahahahahaha youre not lying at all man, I always had my Mustang GT or my SS Camaro and I always thought I was the shit in those cars, ESPECIALLY towards BMW drivers because I always felt like they wanted to play lol Years later I bought an F10 BMW and well I love it honestly. I still have a V8 Mustang that I enjoy time to time, but after dailying my 5er, I dont think I can daily anything else.

323i is a 325 engine downgraded from 190bhp-170bhp. this is ment for the german market, as they measure roadTAX by horsepower. so you could have the 2,5 straight six, but cheaper to run.
@mohannadosama8041

There is quite a misconception between the 323i and the 325i both of them have a complete different engine ! The 325i has a 2.5 liter M50 engine , the 323i has the same 2.5 liter except it's a m52, exactly the same engine found on the 328i :) if I have any mistake feel free to correct me 😄👍

How much difference in power is it if you put the m50 inlet manifold is it the 20hp much like the 325i which is also 2.5L and already has the m50 manifold although it has the weaker engine block

2.5 not 2.3. The 323 is just a 325 with the inlet manifolt squeesed a bit. All because german insurance prices are lower if you have less horsepower.

@@bleensteen9331 it's not just a US thing. The glue that holds the door pockets into the door card loses it's adhesion over time. You can use a hot glue gun to glue the door pocket sections back to the door. The grab handle on the door also comes away along with the trim around the handle. The fabric peels away as well, almost without fail. It's all to be expected really, because the constant temperature changes in the interior over 20 years or so will inevitably cause things to fall apart.
