BMW 330d m57 L200 SWAP Part 1

Remember when clutch disc worn out, it may start catching on bolts. As soon as this happens is clutch disk destroyed into pieces and car stuck. Nice work anyways. I think too, BMW 3.0d is best car diesel engine ever built. I wanted it in my RAV4, but engine bay is not long enough. I have to live with 2.0 D4D. Keep up on good work.

Very cool project. I would suggest that you make a cover out of shaped ali sheet or fibreglass to stop mud getting in the clutch bell while off-roading?

Not had an issue with mud getting too the clutch

I have been wanting to do this with my k74 for a while, I didn’t know you could do it with the standard gearbox as I got told they can only take 170hp shame I can’t do any of the welding like you can otherwise I would have made a start but looks like I’ll have to get a company to do it

Hi Dan after replacing now my 4th engine on my Mitsubishil200 b40 I'm now looking on doing a m57 /n57 engine swap its a automatic gearbox but can't find a adapter plate to fit my box do you think its just as easy to use the bmw automatic box and get the prop shafts mate to suite thanks any help would be appreciated

Just got my donor car a darken yellow e46 individual automatic so due to start getting things fitted soon but I'm struggling to work out how you got the fueling sorted as am sure thers 3 pumps in the e46 is there an easy way around this mate thanks

Just use the inline fuel pump underneath the car

Electric throttle pedal . Keep the plug for the fuel pump and that's it really

Great video! I'm thinking about swapping put the engine and box of my Mitsubishi shogun mk2 for a Audi 3.0 quattro engine and box. So you think it would be better to swap the engine or engine and box?

If its quattro then you could use that gearbox and adapt the propshafts ect too fit

Great vid mate only reason I havnt got a l200 is the crappy engines. B This is like a dream setup. I currently have a 06 e90 330d that I'd love to get this done what sort of price is the conversion well if you do it for customers that is.

Uhh 204hp is not the most powerful M57, that'd be the twin-turbo from around 2007 which has 286hp. Even my single turbo 2007 330d has 231hp & 500Nm.

@@danallen5202 i got 4 ford 4x4rs,..one is the brazilian 2002 s/duty 4.2tdi,with 700nm.. bigger turbo,12 lt 100.. anyhoo.. you need a solid axle swap. from range rover,jeep,toyota, nissan gu . get rid of that ifs garbage.. from ausie..[ 1962 f100 4x4,352 fe.. 75 f250 highboy,351 5sp 4w disc, 82 bronco,solid axle swap,,sas,,2002 s/duty. ..]..plus a 340ci, 73 dodge challenger r/t... ford focus tdi 2.0.. good vid,,less intro..music sucks..
