Ever thought about a 2.5 v6 tdi or a 3.0 v6 tdi swap? Since they are a v6 so a bit more room in the engine bay

Is the 4" body lift necessary for it to fit? Would it fit w/o the body lift?

Not necessary no but a lift of any size does help

I think your problem is that you have welded your dmf and there now no dampening when you’re tanking up drive when you have a solid flywheel the clutch centre plate should have springs in it to dampen the take up of drive

Would a 4" body lift prevent dropping the diff ?

You actually don't have too drop the diff if you go front sump . I learnt the hard way . But no a 4 inch body lift will make no difference as its all too do with the gearbox placement ect

I haven't ever wired mine up . There is a pinout on the loom you can use . Just a case of finding the right wire on the clocks

I have a question, will the engine and transmission of the Range Rover (L322) fitted with the BMW M57 engine not fit or the L200? Then you wouldn't have to use an adapter anymore, and of course no more clutch issues.

have you considered a Mercedes Om 606 as an option to the M57I'm currently trying to decide what to do with my truck.... its got nearly 200,000 miles on the original engine maybe a Cummins 4bt if i can find one

6bt doesn't fit without serious modifications and body lifts . Ls400 v8 are a common swap and not fuel efficient at all . M57 is super reliable . They make mega power and torque figures while still being good on fuel

I broke the arch within a week of having them put on. In deep snow on a narrow green lane about 4 miles in and the drive shaft broke, had to reverse all the way out and caught a wall in the process due to having no drive to the front wheels 😭

You won't find any info because nobody has done it . Its definitely possible

Very cool project. I would suggest that you make a cover out of shaped ali sheet or fibreglass to stop mud getting in the clutch bell while off-roading?
