BMW 340i B58 Stock downpipe vs. Wagner downpipe

Before and after video of stock exhaust and stock downpipe vs. stock exhaust with Wagner 200 cell catted down pipe. Recorded with dB Meter app on iPhone, so reading maybe not of highest precision, but definitely gives you a good idea of the difference in the sound.

The second one with downpipes is read wrong bc you did it inside the garage but still good video not too much louder !

Hi, I am looking to go the same way with my 340i (wagner DP + stock exhaust (non mperf)). What I am looking for are some more burbles and little pops in sport mode. It does this even now but it can be hardly heard inside of the car. On the other hand I want the car to stay quiet in comfort mode so it does not bother me on long highway trips. From your experience, does the car behave like that with this mod? Thank you!

You can definitely be quiet if you want, especially with the stock exhaust. Keep it in Comfort and under 3K RPMs and it sounds like a family car. Cold starts will still be a little louder, though.

@@EthanEde Thank you for the answer, that's what I was looking for. One more question tho - does installation of this DP threw engine code? I would assume so as sportscat has bigger flow. How did you get rid of it?

Sorry, should be cell. I fixed it. Had Check Engine Light on the brain, which the Wagner DP did trigger.

There’s zero drone. Remus makes high quality exhaust systems, OEM for some car companies. They could use some work on how they finish their carbon titanium exhaust tips, though.
