You won’t have to code anything once you get the catless downpipe but you will get a check engine light. Tuning your car will clear that code. And yes if you go catless you will get a gas smell when you’re care is parked or you’re stopped at a light with the windows down

Sounds amazing bro!! When you tunes it to stage 2 on 93 pump gas did you feel even a bigger difference to how it felt with Stage 1 + the DPs?? I'm curious since I've read that Stage 2 increased HP slightly but decreases torque compared to Stage 1

Honestly bro, no I didn’t feel a difference until I went to e85 blend. Stage 1 93 and stage 2 93 are similar. I think higher boost and more fuel sent but not a noticeable difference

You’d feel more going flex fuel on stage 1. It’s a very minimal difference from stage 1 to 2

Since the hp difference between octane 91 stage 1 and stage 2 is minimal, would you recommend stage 1 with or without a downpipe? Or would you recommend stage 2 with a downpipe? If I decide to go stage 1, would you say getting the downpipe is more for sounds or more hp (or a little of both)? Also, I have a b48 engine and was curious how is it without getting an intake, chargepipe, charge cooler or intercooler?

Not in the car only outside. If you have the windows down at a stoplight you’ll smell it briefly

How can you transfer the bm3 license from an n20 to b58?

You just transfer the license after the initial buy. In my case it didn’t matter what engine it was since you just activate the VIN

You can’t smell it on the inside of the car only when you’re stopped with the windows down. Other than that, nothing.

Depends on the engine. If you have a b58 or any other engine with a strong chargepipe, then you should be able to get away with it. Most bmw charge pipes are weak and prone to cracking. You should buy one before tuning. Other than the chargepipe there’s nothing else you NEED before tuning stage 1

@@Metoy3r 7 months later, but i've been wanting to tune my 428i I got in January. I have ally full extended warranty so idk if I want to, and possbily void warranty. Other option is just waiting another year and upgrading to the inline 6. The 428i only has 35k miles on it so i'm all over the place trying to decide. Love your videos man.

I’ve actually owned a 335i and I loved it! I would say for the price go 335 because they have more power and are nearly the same price. If you like the 4 series body style you could also go 435i

Not for the b58, it has an air to water cooler vs a traditional air to air cooler. So the stock one is efficient enough for stage 2

@@universalg_ for a 440i I would say an upgraded heat exchanger is recommended and not needed. On my 340i I went stage 2 with just a catless downpipe. But a heat exchanger would be great supporting mod, but not needed

I have max aggressive sport burbles with a duration of 3.5 w/ stage 1 but I plan to tune it down to 2.8 for more gunshots and pops than burbles. Would this be bad for the seals or no?
