I bought the 2023 M4 6-speed manual and LOVED IT! It's a street-legal RACE CAR. Unfortunately, someone failed to yield at a Stop sign and well... the M4 is gone. Because BMW not only makes some of the best performing cars in the world but also the safest, I opened the door and walked away from my totaled M4 with minimal injuries. I now have a 2024 M440i Xdrive on order because... 1. The new iDrive infotainment system has NO PLACE in a BMW race car (M3/4/8) 2. I simply cannot resist driving 100+ MPH every day in the M4 3. The M cars are addicting to upgrade with carbon fiber etc. I lost ALL of the $20k in upgrades because I didn't claim them on my car insurance. I'm THRILLED to have the M440i Xdrive and cannot wait to get back behind the wheel of a BMW :)

People who don’t like the grille, fine..don’t buy the car. For people who are on the fence with the grille..go see it in person. I did and it changed my perception, it’s a great car

Yes glad that he hasn’t gone with the rest of the sheep. Someone who had his own mind and didn’t feel pressured into copier the opinions of all those sheep. Love the car as I’ve seen it in person as opposed to judge via a review. BMW had taken a risk and it had paid off. This car will be everywhere by the end of the year. And those haters will be saying the grill grew on them. Well not everyone needs to wait for other people’s approval. Great review, great car!

I love this car. I will get mine next year, but I will add the M Performance grill which has an carbon frame and is completely blacked out. That way the grill is sexy and not controversial 👌🏽

The grill is perfect. Looks tough, differentiates it from other brands. I have a 2025 m440i x drive. I get compliments all the time. Especially from Gen Z . Mines Brooklyn Grey, I love it.

Very nice review and good shots of the car. I have seen quite a few vids and photos of 4 series before I got a chance to see it in person - I thought the car looked terrible. But after seeing it in person, in M440i version I find it a really good looking car. This review shows the car as closely to the reality as possible - great job. I also agree on driving impressions - of course it is not M4 Comp level of sportiness but if you want a fun car but also a proper GT - this is fantastic value proposition.

To be honest I hate the front but I have seen a few in person and I would buy one. But putting the number plate on the grill is a big NO makes it worse and the chrome trim around the grill on some trims makes it worse also. So I would get it in black with black trim around the grill. Then put the number plate in the trunk.
