"if you are completely loaded"... that's right folks, in the UK, everyone is broke and runs on credit at all levels in society yet somehow we claim to be first world...if you can actually afford to pay cash, you are not aloud unless you can prove it is not drug money... what a country!

Unfortunately the presenter hasnt explained the cons of PCP very well. Its only by doing a worked example you can see the exact mechanism by which it can be a con but not always, depending on your end of term decision. PCP vs cash depends on what you do within the PCP If you purchase a £31060 car on 47 months PCP, £5000 deposit, £13955 at 3.9% apr (47 monthly payments of £336 = £15824), final payment £12105, 10000 miles per year, then if you purchase the car at the end you will have paid out an additional £1870. If you decide to hand the car in, then assuming you havent exceeded the 10000 miles per year, then you can be expected to be out of pocket by approx £7400. This is based on a Mazda CX5 and the £7400 comes about by adding the amount of finance and deposit (£15824 + £5000) you have paid minus the depreciation of the vehicle (approx £13400). If you exceed the 10000 miles per year by say 2000 miles per year then you could be out a further £1000 based on £0.12 excess mileage charge. There are online depreciation calculators which are pretty accurate. PCP financing is lucrative for car firms, when people DONT buy outright at the end of the financing period. PCP financing is skewed, such that the amount you pay out over the financing period exceeds the rate of depreciation. In effect the car firms are depreciating the value of the car faster than whats actually happening, in the example above they depreciated by a total of £20800 vs reality of £13400, thats what you are paying for!! If you do buy outright at the end of a PCP deal then its just like taking a loan out only less flexible.

Lovely interior, but why haven’t they trimmed around the windows inside the car? I hate seeing bare metal when I’m in the driver’s seat. It wouldn’t cost much and would really enhance this vehicle’s already premium feel.

Boy you are overdoing it like crazy with the compliments, while I do agree that it’s a great car I wouldn’t say it’s the best. I’ve driven the XC60 and XC90 extensively at work and the 90 is slightly better at everything you mentioned and even much better in some regards. Also you CAN actually EQ the sound system more granularly in another menu than the one you showed in the video. To me the way you presented this video speaks volumes about the type of personality a buyer of this car would have. All in all, good review. I think Volvo is one of the few brands who have managed to keep together their identity and keep developing great cars. Not opting to swapping everything to huge screens and plastic which some other brands have done. Unfortunately like you concluded the price is very steep and that’s why I’d never buy one with my own money.

Sad that the internal styling is so gaudy... straight tasteless... to me and I bet many others. The external, maybe bearable. Overall, this thing seems like designed to show off its Mercedes-ness, and mostly in cheap ways.

Lol, I was so shocked with that reverse auto braking too, when I took a XC40 on an extended test drive. At first I thought I had crashed into something because it was so sudden, got out to have a look and saw a bush behind the car.

I've read the reviews from everywhere and they're generally positive, but always point to a lack of safety gear relative to competitors, underpowered for the Australian market, overpriced and having just four seats. For whatever reason, VFacts reported 547 toal Honda sales in November so it's up to Honda Australia to remedy these flaws because it's being outsold by Mercedes ... comfortably.

Its a nice looking car, certainly dont think it will drive better than a focus, their handling is supposed to be amazing and you cant compare it to audi coz their more expensive and luxurious inside , for a bargain car the astra looks good but guaranteed their scratchy plastics dotted about and will the seats last the test of time or start getting worn after a couple of years, i like the look of it though and would definitely consider one at the moment i keep my diesel jeep renegade limited that does over 60 miles per gallon an is cheap to run 👌👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I drove a rental hybrid C-HR 4000km around Spain and Portugal during October and November this year. The car had 10000km on the clock and was a delight to drive. A funky little car with good styling and plenty of power. I was getting 5.1l/100km fuel efficiency, which. compared to my 2014 Camry 2.4l petrol with 11l/100km is quite amazing, albeit mostly highway. The seats are worth a special mention - I could easily drive 3 or 4 hours without any discomfort in my backside compared to the Camry, which has terrible seats only good for maybe 2 hours. The worst and most dangerous feature, however, was the adaptive cruise control! Together with Lane assist, it pretty much takes the pain out of highway driving, so much so that there is a sensor to warn that your hands are no longer on the wheel, and disengages if continued for too long. What's really dangerous for someone like me, who has got used to the "manual" cruise control that needs to be engaged and disengaged by the driver, is that the system on the C-HR overrides the accelerator pedal. If overtaking a truck and we are both in the same inside lane, the system sees the truck ahead and slows the car down by itself progressively as you get closer. Now move into the adjacent lane to overtake, and it once again speeds up to whatever speed was set. Moving into the other lane well ahead of the truck seems to be the way to go, but you then run the risk of pissing off other drivers coming up way faster behind you. Of course, the system isn't infallible, and sometimes the camera controlling it slams on the brakes without warning at 120KPH while overtaking. the real danger for someone like me who is not familiar with the car (no manual of course) is that I'm no longer in charge. If I overtake a truck and the sensor camera overreacts, the accelerator (gas) pedal was shut down and actually collapsed on the floor, until it reset itself. This happened several times and I lost faith in the car. A shame because otherwise a great little car as said previously, except that its attempt at safety features backfired. I could not find a way to turn the feature off.

It’s such a shame we don’t get the Clubsport in Australia. But then again we pay $60,000 drive away for a ‘normal’ GTI so I don’t know how they’d put a sane price tag on it. And we don’t even get the Gen 4 EA888 or proper IQ lighting system.
