Avoid Main Dealers, mostly there for the commission. Avoid the Service Plan because its optional from non-main dealers and it is best to service your every 2-3 years, unless you do high mileage and/or use the motorway a lot, if you have car allowance for a particular job. Also whenever you buy a new or used car, make sure you get at least a free warranty. Hence piece of mind. Another thing do a much research as possible before buying. For example: do a vehicle check.

My last car was a £6,000 Hyundai i20 - had about 5K miles on it and I drove it for seven years until it was falling apart. £45K is ludicrous.

This kind of thing applies in many markets. Idiots paying £45 a month on a phone with a 36 month contract. Buy a phone for £100 and stick a fiver a month sim deal on it. Anything that you want to buy that the seller turns into a monthly amount (or even better, "its about the price of a cup of coffee per day") then get the heck away and don't look back. If you want to be poor and stay poor then buy in this way.

No mention of the costs for finance - sounds so straightforward simple when money is free !

I've owned this car for about 2 years, 180 PS non-hybrid. What I can say is that it's an excellent and very comfortable car for its money (got it new for 32k euro). The only thing that disappointed me is that despite having a fully heated windshield, the wiper area for some reason does not heat up and the standard rubber floor mats don't hold water, allowing it to seep underneath. There was also a factory defect with the control unit, but it was replaced under warranty. Other than that, there have been no problems in 2 years, and nothing in the interior squeaks.

Aka _"Aleksandr Scriabin"._ Where can you get one of these PHEV Citroens with a 1.2l engine that costs about £28k brand new? The 1.2l engine is only in the petrol version. The PHEV engine is a 1.6l. And as for actually getting a PHEV that's new for £28k, me thinks you may have been smoking something that's... _Not quite legal?_ _However..._ You can get the 1.2l petrol only car for under £28k. Though it only has 127 bhp and that'll take a wheezy 10.4 seconds to hit 60 and by then, I'd have given up all hope. 😴💤💤💤 Though it's a nice car and I do like Citroen's quirkiness, I still do not see the point of a PHEV. What happens when you run out of "E" after 50 odd miles? Great video as always. The Z.
