BMW 520d F10 Intake manifold removal step by step

Today I have managed to remove my intake manifold on m BMW N47T engine. Thanks to your video has helped me a lot. The intake manifold was a mess of oil and carbon. I will recommend using MR Strong Own and grill cleaner. It is very effective. You just spray on and let the fluid do the job. Let it soak for at least half hour each time. Use a tooth brush to help to come down to deep layer. I used two Mr Strong spray boxes. Now my intake manifold is clean like new and ready to install tomorrow. I need to remove my intake manifold just to remove the coolant pipe that connects to the engine, just because of 1 bolt that I can't access without removing it. This video is perfect, i got quoted £150.00 and said could take 3 days to do. But thanks to this I won't need all these days with also paying for a courtesy car too in the mean time

@@speczy5886 800 pounds is cheap. I have got a price 1500 pounds from Oslo most expensive BMW car workshop. I did the claning of my intake manifold and save 1500 pounds.

@6:56 there is a wire that goes over the manifold, the video jumps it it being removed, how did you remove that?

Im having such struggle getting the manifold off un done all bolts needed but ive gor jo movement or play to get the bloody thing off

First take off the throttle body apart from the rest of intake manifold. Unscrew the E6 torque on the left of throttle body to release the engine cabel. Unscrew the red + power cabel to the dynamo. Always disconnect the batteri before you do anything. Alway isolate the red + power cabel so you do not accidently get in touch with a metal when you disconnect the cabel behind the red + power cabel!! After removing the throttle body, disconnect the glow plug managemen unit on the right side. Use a flat screw driver to release the other cabel. Now you can unscrew 5 10mm holding the intake manifold. when you remove the throttle body, you will get more space to get out the intake manifold. When you start to mount back the intake manifold, do it in reverse order, put intake manifold in place, do not start screwing now. Screw on the throttle body to the interrcooler hose first. Now you can start screwing the intake manifold. Start on midle upper right, then down left, up to left, down to right, up to right. Use a moment wrench key at 10 nm on each screw. Good luck:-))

54k but there was another problem I replaced engine and didn’t check the tank and all metal dust went from tank to pump and injectors
